Stop my heart for a kiss

White dove

I pushed myself off the sink and scratched ny head softly " again i fucked things up " i whispered to myself.
"No you didn't Hazel" said a familiar voice. I looked up and saw Brian leaning against one of the bathroom stalls. " she just had to take a break" he added. I sighed and nodded softly" still I feel as if it's stupid to hurt her like this" before i could add anything to what i was saying i got cut off " nah. She is the one who is staying with you . So no it's not your fault nor hers" said Brian while stroking his long dark brown hair back. I raised my shoulders before walking towards the exit . I passed him and looked at him for a split second " let's go i'm sure school is going to start in a few minutes" . He nodded and followed behind her while she headed out of the bathroom. " what classes do you have first" he asked cutting the silence ." Biology " i replied with no emotions. I was still sorry for what happend in the bathroom. " just biology today. I'm probably gonna cut off school and go to the park after biology" . He stopped dead in his tracks and raised an eyebrow" no you aren't misses" . I turned around and looked up at him. " you're not my mom" . He grabbed both of my shoulders stopping me from turning back . " you have skipped class alot and you know what could happen when they find out you have skipped class again!" He said loudly making people turn their heads towards them. " shut up you're making a scene" i said while squinting my eyes . He shook his head and let go of me. " alright that's your problem" he walked past me hitting my shoulder and just walked towards the entrance of the building. In a few seconds he dissapeared . " egh" i said louldy while turning around and walking towards the building. Just when i walked up one of the steps the bell rang loudly. All the students started to walk towards the entrance . I hated crowded places so i started running
Into the building down the hallway . A glimps of something purple caught my eye at the corner of the door of the biology room. I turned my head and saw Sylvia holding the door open " come on your almost to late!" She yelled at me . My eyes widend as i quickend my pace . I slipped but didn't fall. " sylvia grabbed my arm and pulled me into the classroom just when the second bell rang. Everybody stared at us with their eyes wide. " s-sorry" i replied in my shy tone while walking towards my seat. I sat down and placed my bag next to me . I had a hairband around my wrist and used it to make my usual messy bun. " hello class ." Mister chique entered the room and placed his suitcase on his desk" today we are gonna talk about animals and their place in the foodchain. I rolled my eyes and hit my head on the desk. Again they were going to talk about the foodchain, that's just boring. " Hazel!" He said in a loud tone making everybody look at me . I looked up from my desk and tried not to make eyecontact with him." Y-yes mister?" I stuttered ." What's wrong? Are my lessons to boring" he said in a tone that made all my hairs stand up." N-no sir. I-i'm just ti-" .he cut me off with a handgesture. " his eyes were pinned on me and i finally dared to look him in the eyes. My eyes showed pure fear . He sighed and opend his suitcase" change of plan. Let's see what dead animals look like inside. Now find a partner" he commanded. Everybody got up and ran towards their friends before sitting down togheter.  I looked at Sylvia but she was already taken by the weird kid in the class. She saw me looking and mouthed the words " sorry". I shook my head to show her it was fine . I turned around and saw Jesse looking at me . He smiled at me " do you mind ?" . I shook my head and sat down ."do you like dead animals ?"  i asked to break the weird silence. He shook his head and chuckled " no do you?". I laughed and jokingly said " yes i do actually". We both laughed before we got shut up abruptly by our teacher laying down a metal plate with a dead dove on it . The scent was bad. It was the scent of death. I was sure it had been dead for a few hours ." Now everybody take your scalpels and cut open their stomach . But be careful we don't want to damage their intestins " everybody started grabbing their scalpels and cut open the stomachs of all the dead animals carefully. You could hear some students gag in the background. I grabbed my scalpel and held it against the stomach of the dove . I looked at its beauty. It was a beautifful young white dove , but how did it die? Why so young ." Are you going to cut it open or should i do it? " Brian asked politly . I looked up at  him and shook my head." I'll do it . My eyes scanned the whole body of the dove . Nothing was wrong. It didn't look as if it got killed . I shook my head to end my deep thinking and held the dove by it's wing with my bare hands. The moment i wanted to push the scalpel inside. the dove started breathing. I could see its stomach go up and down with each breath it took. I dropped the scalpel and let go of the wing. Right on that moment the dove jumped up and flew up in the air. It flew against walls and looked as if it was panicking. I looked at the dove before looking at my hands." Right i forgot " i whispered to myself . " forgot what!" Said Brian while looking at me with a shocked face.
"I-i have to go" i said while getting up. I grabbed my bag and ran out of the classroom shutting the door behind me . I ran down the hallways faster than i have ever ran. My hair bounced up and down while tears of fear rolled down my cheeks. I was scared that i would be seen as a freak now. They weren't suposed to know that i could do that. I tripped over my lose shoelace and hit my head against the ground. The last thing i heard was a voice calling my name before the darkness pulled me inside.
