Unexpected (Clay LaBrant)

First encounter

I walked down the stairs only feeling sad and homesick. I didn't want to move, I wanted to stay with my friends! But no, my family had to move so far away. I just wanted to clear my head now. I grabbed my penny board and headed on to the street.

I wasn't used to riding alone I usually had my friends with me. They were all I could think about. I missed them so much. I skated around for a while and then I noticed 2 guys walking my way. I continued to skate around until I realized that they were coming to me. The older one introduced them "Hi, I'm Jack and this is Clay." He said pointing to someone who seemed to be his brother. Clay waved and said

" We live right down the street and I think you and I may be in the same grade."

I asked him if he was in 8th and he replied with a yes and I showed him my schedule. He looked up at me. His eyes were perfect, they were like a green color but they had a bit of a blue look. He said "wow we have a lot of classes together. I can show you around tomorrow if you want."

"Cool, and yeah that would be great" I replied.

We said goodbye and he gave me a place to meet him.

This kid seemed really nice. I had been friends with guys previously so having Clay as a friend may have not been hard.
