Chapter 5

I wake up slowly to see Magneto talking to Logan.

"In the road to survival, there is always sacrifice Logan. We are the future... not them. We must protect ourselves. After tonight, when the leaders of the world return home -- They will return as brothers, as mutants... and our cause will be theirs. This is survival, I know you understand that, Logan... or is it Wolverine?" my eyes widen. Both Logan and Magneto look over toward me. Magneto walks over. "Don't you want this? For what they did to you?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because the last thing I want to do is stoop down to their level." magneto chuckles.

"He really did get in your head." He smiles and walks away. I look over at Logan.

"Why didn't you do it? Hurt me?" Logan looks at me for a minute.

"I don't know."

I can hear Logan trying to get out of his binds as I do the sane but it doesn't work. My powers aren't working very well, probably cause of the pain. I hear the machine that Magneto is planning to use. Logan continues to struggle. Soon his struggle turns into rage. He makes it free, but his hands are still tied behind his back. I know there is only one way to get out of this. Full Rage. Being in captivity your whole life will do things to you. For me, i got Full Rage. When this happens I become, well, unstoppable. My eyes go black and I become someone much stronger. The con of this is it takes a lot of energy and I usually end up passing out. I know what I have to do. I close my eyes and they open again. Black. I break free easily. Both, me and Logan go out the hole. What we see is a lot of activity around Ellis island. Logan looked shocked. I didn't have much emotion I my face. Side effect of the Full Rage thing. I look at Logan's hands still cuffed. In a second they break.

"Thanks." I nod.

"We should go." I say plainly, my voice was different, I sounded stronger. He nods and we go.

"Caitlin... Logan..." We both turn our head quickly. Magneto.

"It is a five minute run from the furthest distance on this island. If you are not back in this time... I will kill the friends of Xavier. I think they came for you two. I also have a small piece of Cerebro, that might be of interest to you, if you hope to save Xavier. Has dying you know." okay. Now I'm furious. I start to walk away but Logan grabs my arm.

"We need to think this through."

"We have five minutes, Logan. We have to go. You don't wanna come then don't." I start walking.

"Wait." I turn my head slightly and Logan catches up. I nod at him and we start walking.

Soon, me and Logan are under everyone else. Logan waits for a minute and ejects his claws. He stabs the ceiling and we hear Magneto yell. We run up the stairs to see Magneto in the floor.

"Logan! Caitlin!" Storm yells. Before we can think three metal bands leap against the room, forcing Logan's fists into his chest. I try to move the bands but the same is done to me. I know if I eject my claws my Full Rage will end. Magneto raised Logan out of the hole that was made. Magneto stands up with his hand raised toward the machine. I can't see what happens next because Full Rage ends and I pass out.

I lay in the hospital bed I've been in for awhile now. Truth is, I don't activate Full Rage a lot because it takes awhile for me to fully heal. I just stare at the ceiling.

"How long are you gonna lay there, hmm?" I sit up and I turn my head to see Logan. I can't help it and I let myself smile. I get off my bed.

"I'm surprised." Logan raises an eyebrow. I walk a little closer to him.

"That you're still here. You seem like the kind of guy who likes to be alone." Logan smiles at me.

"I'm full of surprises."

"Clearly."

"I have one more surprise up my sleeve." I raise an eyebrow.

"Oh? What is it?" Logan walks closer to me so our faces are only inches apart.

"This." he crashes his lips onto mine, kissing me roughly. I kiss back. Logan pulls away a smirk on his face.

"Gotta say I like your suprises." we both laugh.
