II

Math passed quite quickly after Yoongi's arrival. And Hoseok was also surprised that he was able to complete over three questions in little time, even though it was with the help of someone else.
The other surprising thing was that this particular someone was a hybrid.

He didn't mind it though. It was unusual, but the boy could internally admit that he enjoyed the hybrid's company.

The class ended and it was lunchtime. Hoseok was slightly bummed out then, knowing his best friend Taehyung wasn't at school that day. At times like this, it felt like Hoseok had no reason to be there, since he would only end up being lonely all day.

"I'll see you later.." The hybrid quickly turned to tell Hoseok as soon as they entered the hallway. The boy was going to respond, only to notice that Yoongi had already run off, leaving the human alone.

Strange...but cute.
Hoseok thought to himself, beginning to walk to his locker.

Since the boy didn't feel like sitting with any mutuals while his friend wasn't there, he decided to take a walk outside around the school.
Hoseok had never really been to the back side of his school, mostly because it was a territory filled with hybrids, and he would probably get a lot of questioning from people if someone had found him hanging there.
But he didn't really care at this point. All he wanted was to explore, really.

And so he continued his way to the back of the school, occasionally munching on his homemade sandwich.
Leaning against the rock walls of the building, the human peeked out to see a large group of hybrids playing basketball.

They all looked so different.
Different in a good way, that is. Hoseok couldn't help but feel intrigued by everything that was happening. They may had only been playing basketball, but never has he seen such a number of hybrids sitting, standing, running, just having fun really.
It made him think of the unfairness of his own school.

Suddenly, that being the third time he was pulled out of his thoughts that day, Hoseok felt a grip on his arm pulling him back into the shady area where he hid.
"Dude, what the hell are you doing here?!" The boy turned as he heard a familiar voice.
It was Yoongi.

"Uh.." Hoseok paused, still processing what had just happened.
"Nothing...just wanted to explore a little." He finally replied with a smirk, leaning back against the wall.

"Uhuh..." Yoongi nodded slowly, keeping a suspicious look on the boy.
"Well, I don't suggest you stay here. You'll get stared at too much." The hybrid grabbed the other's arm again, this time pulling him closer to a group of trees.

Arriving next to the small forest, the two males sat down against a large tree that was probably very old.
"So..." Hoseok began. "How old are you? Or is that counted differently for you?"
"In the human world, I'm basically 18." Yoongi responded, taking out a snack from the lunch bag he brought.
"Ah...so you're a year older. I'll call you hyung then!"
The human smiled at Yoongi, making the hybrid blush a little.
The older didn't know why he was feeling this way. It could've mostly been because no human had actually smiled at him, or had been this polite to him in a long time. But there was something else about him that made the animal feel weird.
Some humans were good looking in general, but Yoongi was the type to see most beauty from the inside also. And out of all the other humans, which most of them were unbelievably ugly to him, Hoseok somehow stood out as attractive.
"Um, okay..."
Their conversation was soon interrupted by the sound of somebody gasping, and then suddenly falling onto the ground.
Hoseok quickly turned his head to notice a figure laying on the ground, unconscious.
By the twitching ears, it looked like a rabbit hybrid.

"Don't worry, he'll be back up soon." Yoongi reassured, making the younger lift his eyebrow in confusion.

After a few seconds, the bunny hybrid indeed woke up again and sat up on the ground to regain a comfortable posture.
"w-w-what is a human d-doing here?" He stuttered, slowly pointing at Hoseok as he looked at the other hybrid.
"Don't worry, I'm just tutoring him now." Yoongi answered the shocked bunny. "This is Jungkook, by the way. Don't ask how we manage to get along.."

"Oh hi there, my name is Hoseok." The human introduced himself. "Am I really that intimidating?"

Jungkook opened his mouth a bit but then stayed silent and timid.
"Well, after noticing how much class time you can waste doing nothing, you're definitely not intimidating to me." Yoongi chuckled, taking a bite out of his tuna sandwich.

"As you've noticed, Jungkook is a bunny hybrid, so he easily gets scared. He's also quite younger than us...Including that he's constantly missing out on the lovely juicy flavor of fish." The older continued.

"Hey! A-At least I'm not eating innocent c-creatures..!" The other defended, crossing his arms. He was barely even able to imagine what pain those animals could be going through.

"ANYWAYs..." Yoongi sighed loudly.
The older's hand had slid down gently to rest on the big roots of the tree they sat next to...
Without expecting Hoseok's hand to be at the same spot.
There was an awkward silence as the two noticed their hands brushing together, making the hybrid quickly pull his hand away after a moment and speak again after clearing his throat.

"You need to study for your math test that's in a few days, so I'm coming to your house tonight to study with you. I'm not letting you inside my house because...yeah..my mom would freak out." The male concluded.

"Really? Um...okay.." Hoseok was slightly shocked at the hybrid suddenly inviting himself over, but it didn't seem too bad cause his parents wouldn't arrive home until later in the evening.

It was unexpected, but he didn't mind it.
