The boy sighed to himself, playing around with his pencil as he leaned back against the chair.
Unfortunately, the weekend had gone by quite fast for Hoseok. Although on those particular days, he found himself unmotivated, only wanting to sleep in and then just lay in bed. He didn't feel like dancing. He didn't feel like being productive, heck, when was he ever? But he was even less motivated than usual.
The other thing was that the same specific subject was always on his mind, seemingly not wanting to leave.
Yoongi. For some reason, he just could not stop thinking about the hybrid. From him first entering his math class, to the thunder storm at his house, to the way he smiled when they studied at the library. It was pretty cheesy, but everything about the male seemed to make Hoseok feel a way he hadn't really ever felt for someone before.
At the same time, these thoughts caused the human to crave him in some way.
He craved his touch, he craved the way they held onto each other during the storm, he craved seeing Yoongi's cute gummy smile. He craved that disappointed look the older would give once he caught Hoseok not paying attention to what he was explaining...
He wanted to live and witness those moments again.
And so did Yoongi.Yoongi, on his side, didn't feel so motivated that weekend either.
Even once the hybrid had opened his notebook, to think of more lyrics to add to his most recent piece, the thought of Hoseok still kept crossing his mind.
It was like a boomerang of thoughts.
He would try to think of something else, distract himself with different hobbies, or try to rather focus on studying, but the image of the human's bright smile always came back to haunt Yoongi's brain. In fact, he shouldn't have been so surprised, since this was by far the nicest and friendliest human he had met in the past week.
It was just weird.
Including the fact that he probably shouldn't've been thinking so much about a human, anyways."Humans can be very selfish, scary and mysterious creatures. They are capable of many things, but lots of them live to hate and manipulate. Of course that's not all of them, but most of them you should not trust."
His mother's words repeated in the hybrid's head as he laid lazily in his bed, thinking of the way some humans are.
It was a bit hypocritical to say, considering that they were half human. But throughout years of history, it really seemed like hybrids were treated more like animals than like humans.Maybe Hoseok isn't one of those people. He thought.
Despite the way he behaved when it came to school, Hoseok was a good person. At least he thought so. He couldn't assume too much, since the two had only known each other for less than a week. But as Yoongi thought about it, he couldn't really see any other fact about Hoseok that was bad.
The fact that the younger did not hesitate to comfort him, or whisper reassuring words to him during that thunderstorm, was surprising and unexpected to him as well.
..."Many of you did so well on this test! I expect more of this to come throughout the school year. Good job students!" Mrs Jang was finally handing out the math tests from the previous week, entirely marked for students to see how they did.
