PROLOGUE

In the mid-1500s, the only two daughters and airs of King Charles the 5th, King of the Romans, King of Italy, Archduke of Austria, King of Spain, Lord of the Netherlands, Duke of Burgundy and ruler of both the Spanish Empire from 1516 and the Holy Roman Empire from 1519.

His oldest daughters Sofia was fated to reign over all if anything were to happen to her family and or her father Charles. Her family were Archduke of Austria Predecessor Maximilian 1 and Successor Ferdinand 1, Predecessor Ferdinand II and V, Successor Philip II of Spain, Philip the IV and V Predecessor and Successor of Lord of the Netherlands and Duke of Burgundy.

Sofia was born on July 5th 1554 in Romania, Rebekah was born on August 8th 1555 they were the closest sisters. Jonathon was born May 5th 1554 in France before Mary and Francis' moved to Scotland with them in 1560 at the age 4. Since being in Scotland Mary and Francis had 3 more kids, Prince Mathew, Princess Rosemary and Princess Lauren - the two are twins but not identical. Jonathon is the oldest, then Mathew then Rosemary and Lauren.

In 1558 Sofia & Rebekah lost their family when Sofia was just 4 years and Rebekah was just over 3; to a horrible attack on their home, during the attack Sofia and her sister were forced to flee.

When the house of Habsburg was attacked, Sofia, Rebekah and their mother Emma were taken away to seek protection in Scotland from queen Mary and her 4-year-old son Jonathon, with the most trusted royal guards as protection on their journey. During their travels the girl's mother Emma was lost and presumed dead.

It was 1557 when they arrived in Scotland, Sofia and Rebekah were now 5 and 4 years old and Queen Mary took them in as her own, raising them as her daughters along her son Jonathon who was also now 5 and another child on the way. Mary's half-brother James and Francis half-brother Bash - who's also a Sia - helped in raising them alongside Francis-who didn't die in 1560, he moved to Scotland with Mary and their son to take back her throne.

Bash returned to France when Prince Charles - Francis younger brother - became regent, Bash returned to be by his side and keep peace. Finally, after many years Scotland is at peace with England, Mary and Elizabeth signed a contract to keep the peace, non-Catholics and Catholics living among each other without judgment. Mary still plans on taking England when Elizabeth dies, her and her children have no blood claim to England's thrown.

Mary and Francis raised the girls together alongside their two sons Jonathon and Mathew and two twin daughters Rosemary and Lauren, looking after them, raising them, loved them as their own. She would tell them stories of Sofia's parents, her time in France, meeting Frances etc. Mary taught them how to act like Royals and Francis taught them how to fight, ride and hunt. Over time as Sofia and Jonathon grew up together they became quite close with each other, they told each other everything, did everything together.

Sofia, Rebekah and Jonathon became the best of friends, inspirable. And after Mathew, Lauren and Rosemary were born, they all became very close to them all.

When Sofia turned 10 she discovered a powerful gift within her that ran through her family's bloodline, they never told her or anyone what their abilities were. Rebekah, did not share the same ability's as she did, leaving her the only one. She had the ability to see more clearly, to zoom in on the little details of something, she could hear from far away what others were saying or when hunting she could hear where the animal would be, everything she felt and did was increased. She had heightened senses, everything she felt, touched, saw, and heard became stronger. Over time it developed and she soon became stronger and faster and could run great distances and lift heave stuff without difficulty.

When Mary and Francis found out about her gifts they told her to keep them secret from everyone, only a few knew of her gift, Jonathon and Rebekah were with her when she discovered them and kept it secret to. The only other people who knew were Mathew, Rosemary, Lauren, Bash and James. The Royal family. They feared if anyone they didn't fully trust found out about her abilities, that her family's enemies would use it against her and her clam to the throne(s).

News came that Sofia and Rebekah where the last of their family that survived and their home country/land were not controlled by protestants, enemy's to the crown, people who wanted power and would do anything to get it.

Sofia inherited everything her father ruled; she became Queen of the Romans, Queen of Italy, Archduchess of Austria, Queen of Spain, Lady of the Netherlands, Duchess of Burgundy and ruler of both the Spanish Empire and the Holy Roman Empire. In her absence, her Uncle-by-marriage, Maximilian 1st stayed in Romania to try and regain control of their country's & land.

After the news of her family and what she now is - a Queen of multiple countries - and with the help of Mary and Francis they taught her how to reign over her countries as she got older over the years.

Even with only her sister and the support of Mary and Francis, her family was all but gone to them both, she still had many enemies. A few of those enemies heard she was planning to reclaim her thrown when she came of age and had the help of France and Scotland.

When Sofia turned 14, Mary and Francis told her they thought it would be a good idea to for Sofia to marry the prince of England when she became of age - 21 - to form a new alliance.

But she didn't want to marry Prince Edward V Tudor of England for she had feelings for another. She who she had feelings for also returned them feelings but they were unsure of what Mary and Francis thought so they kept their relationship together secret.

For 2 years, Sofia and Jonathon kept it hidden, only Rebekah, Rosemary, Lauren, Mathew and their personal maids and their personal guards knew.

Sofia shared both of her parent's looks, she was more like her father when it came to fighting, ruling and riding but also had much of her mother also, when it came to planning gatherings and parties she was very good at it, as well as embroidery, dresses and beauty - hair n make-up.

Sofia had long hair that came to her waist and was dark brown with natural blond highlights, brown eyes like her father and a tall, skinny, toned body like of her mother and a fair clear face.

Rebekah shared Sofia's long hair and tall skinny body only she was completely blond and had blue eyes, unlike Sofia, Rebekah didn't care much for out-door activities such as riding, hunting, training - fighting - and was more into things such as parties and sowing, dresses etc.

Jonathon has Mary's looks, brown eyes and dark blondish hair, Francis' strong toned build and both Mary's and Francis compassion, fierceness, skills knowledge etc. Sofia and Jonathon were both very much alike.

Mathew had Francis blue eyes, Mary's dark hair and both of their compassion, fierceness, skills knowledge etc. and he really, liked combat and hunting, anything involving a weapon or skill. And of cause' Jonathon was the tallest. Rosemary and Lauren were a lot like Mary, kind, caring, compassionate, brave. Rosemary had brown almost black hair and Lauren had a sandy blond like Francis, and like their brothers and Sofia they liked to fight and challenge each other.

She refused to use her gift unless she had to, other than that she wanted to stay as normal as possible.
