Chapter Three

I woke up the next day in an empty bed. Sitting up I looked around the room for anyone. The room was empty. It was bright and sunny outside, I spotted a breakfast tray on the table across the room with a note. Getting out of bed I walked over and picked up the note. From Jonathon;

"Good Morning, sorry I wasn't there when you woke; Francis pulled me away to go hunting with Bash, Mathew and James. I'll see you later though, please have dinner with me. Meet me in the water gardens at 7:30.

- Love Jonathon.

P.S: my sisters and Rebekah are heading into town later; I don't know where they are now.

I smiled at the letter and looked at the food in front of me. There were pancakes, toast, berries, juice for my headache, a bagel. I sat on the long chair and ate my amazingly good breakfast while opening my gifts from Royals and Nobles, some from people outside court in the village and town. They had all been deemed safe. I had almost finished my breakfast when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in" I yelled looking at the necklace Princess Lora from Austria gave me. It was a ruby and diamond necklace, small but beautiful.

I heard the door open and looked up to see who it was. It was Mary followed by her friend Greer. I got up off the chair/couch and ran to Greer giving her a big hug. I very much missed her, the last time I saw her was on Jonathon's 15th birthday. She was like my aunt.

"I missed you" pulling her into a tight hug.

"I missed you too. Sorry I didn't make it to your birthday, there were delays" she apologised

"No don't apologise, I didn't even know you were coming" I said. I also didn't expect Lola and Narcissi to come because they're on holiday.

"I thought it'd be a nice surprise" Mary said with a smile on her face. I pulled out of my hug with Greer and hugged Mary; "thank you" I said stepping out of her hold.

"Oh, I almost forgot." Said Greer pulling something out of her corset pocket. She handed me a small white and blue box, I opened it and saw the most beautiful pendent. It was mine and Jonathon's family cress combined as one. It was beautiful, I was speech less.

"I...I don't know how to thank you enough." I said.

"It's ok; Mary told me of you and Jonathon's relationship and plan to marry next year and thought it was a good idea. Two families are combined."

"Turn it over" she added.

I turned the pendent over and saw an engravement on the back. I read it out loud:

"Congratulations Sofia and Jonathon. May your love and Reign last until the end of time?" I read.

"Thank you Greer." I said pulling her into another hug. The three of us sat and talked a bit longer while I finished opening my gifts.

The last gift I opened was from Lola.

I opened and read out loud the letter on top of the box;

"I was walking the streets of Paris the other day and saw this; I knew it would be perfect for you. - Lola" I opened the box and gasped at the site.

I'd gotten 6 dresses for my birthday but this was fare most the best. It was a long sleeved black and gold inbreeded dress. I picked up the dress and stood up, letting the box fall and admired it, it was beautiful and soft, the material was soft cotton but look like silk.

"Try it on" Mary said, bringing me out of my thoughts. I agreed and went behind the screen and put it on. I was soft and fit perfectly; it was a little revealing in the chest area but in a good way. I walked out from behind the screen and the looks on Mary and Greer's faces were priceless.
