"Tonight is the beginning of the rest of my life" This was the thought that ran through the head of the teenage girl's as she sprang atop roofs and glided over alleyways. Artemis loved the feeling of the wind on her face. Here, she wasn't noticed. She was one with the shadows.
At approxamitly twelve, Artemis arrived at the assigned destenation.
A shadowy figure emerged from the darkness. Her father.
"Sportsmaster." The archer said in casual greeting.
"Poison." Poison was her codename, as many of the specially designed arrows she was equipped with were indeed, poison. "I would like you to meet someone." As if on que, a tall, slender female, dressed in black was besides Artemis's father. "This is Catwoman. She will be your mentor and mission briefer." The woman gave Artemis a half smile.
"So you're the talented little girl that I've been hearing about." Poision gave a half smile and replied,
"I certainly hope so" The Archer always liked to make good first Impressions on people. Especially ones who would make good allies in battle.
"Make daddy proud, little princess" her father said as he stalked off onto the darkness.
"So, where do we begin?"
"Follow me."
TIMESKIP
"Alright, we'll enter from here and here." Catwoman pointed with a gloved hand to two locations on a set of blueprints. Poision nodded solemnly. "The goal is to take the ruby encrusted gold Sphinx from the Egypt section. This assessment should be a cinch if executed correctly."
"Doesn't this mission plan call for at least three people? Last I checked we were only two people." Poision observed. Catwoman smirked.
"Poison, there is someone I'd like you to meet." At that moment a teen stepped toward into the light. "This is Thunderbolt. He will be your new partner. You two will be spending a lot of time together, so you best become acquainted."
Sorry that this chapter was so short! If it seemed that the chapter was unnecessary, trust me it wasn't. Also if you are wondering about Artemis's new partner, I'm not exactly sure myself!😂 but I think it will either be Roy, Connor, Cameron, or Jason Todd. I'm kinda leaning towards Jason.
