All Randy could remember was the drone of the heart rate monitor, the yelling of nurses and doctors, and the eventual silence of all of the medical personnel as the doctors bowed their heads. Randy had no emotion. No thoughts running through his head nothing. He just remembers the love of his life fading away.

You have three days left. Nobody can stop this not even you. Tomorrow I will take all of the firstborns. Take your loved ones and hide.

"What do you want from me!?!" He screamed into the void. Randy slowly looked up and saw his baby girl Catherine. Tears filled his eyes as he enveloped her in a hug. "When is mommy coming home?" She asked.  "Soon my baby. You'll see her soon" he replied. He drove home and took out the bottle of whiskey under the counter. He opened it and took a long swig of the liquor.
"Daddy?" He heard. He put the bottle down and acknowledged her. "Yes, honey?" "I miss mommy. Can you lay down with me?" He looked at the alcohol and poured it down the drain. "Of course."

Thunder shook him awake as the television snapped on.
Local police are dumfounded as not only local dogs, but all domesticated animals have been killed last night. That's right ladies and gentlemen dogs, cats, lizards, birds, even livestock. If you are waking up to this please call then number below if any domestic animal in your possession is alive.
Randy looked down at the dog bed across the room and noticed the totally still dog. He walked over to it and ran a hand along Lucy's cold corpse. He took her outside and buried her. Hot tears ran down his face as he kneeled, knowing that everything he knew and loved was gone.

All firstborns

Randy bolted inside with sudden realization. "Catherine!" He called. "CATHERINE!" "Yes daddy what is it?" She replied. He looked around confused and snapped the TV back on.
If you are a parent, check your children. I repeat, check your children. Numerous reports of sudden deaths within children have been reported. The only known connections is that they are all firstborns.
He shut off the TV and looked around wildly. He turned over boxes and tore everything out of drawers. He sat down in frustration and punched through the glass coffee table. A letter fluttered out of the double-plated glass. With confusion he tore the envelope open.

November 3, 1992
Dear Randy,
I have some exciting news! I'm pregnant! I will give the letter to you when I know the sex of the baby and I just want it to be a big surprise.

Randy was confused. Catherine had been born in 2002 and she had told him that she was pregnant right away. He continued reading

We have a baby! You're a dad Randy you are! I'm so excited for us. I got the test done and it was positive. I'm so happy for us. Look at everything we've accomplished and now a baby! I can't believe it. Randy I'm so happy. Randy, I love you. I'm so exited for us.

A slip of paper fell out of the page.

I will not be giving the letter to you. I have miscarried. The letter is enclosed in my will. I'm sorry Randy. I'm so sorry.

He put the paper down and teared up. He crumpled the paper and kissed his daughter.

I'm sorry.
