You have four days left. You have used one. If you do nothing, the world will end. I will take one from you now. Maybe you will do something about it now.
Randy bolted upright in his bed in the middle of the night. He looked over to his bedside table and groaned. "Another weird dream" he thought. It was 2:03 in the morning and he heard Catherine crying. He jumped out of bed and ran over to his daughter's room. "Catherine!" He yelled. "Are you ok?" She answered with increased sobbing. "No, this can't be happening!" He thought. He threw the door open to see her room on fire. "Get out of here!" Randy yelled. "Ashley, run. Take Lucy with you and get out of the house!" He screamed. He picked up Catherine by the waist and bolted down the stairs. He tossed her out the front door and said "Stay here. I'll be back in a second with mommy," and ran back into the house. He ran back up the stairs and looked at his wife. They were separated by a line of fire. Ashley threw Lucy over the line of fire into Randy's hands. She then ran through the line of fire. She screamed as fire burned into her flesh. He caught her with his right arm. He ran the dog and his wife outside and called 911. By the time the police got there, the entire house was in flames. Nobody was killed, but Ashley had extreme burns on her legs. She was rushed to the hospital.

Randy sat in the waiting room praying for his wife. Suddenly, memories came flooding back to him. The night he met her at the autumn dance, their first kiss after Randy's football game, the night he proposed to her at the bottom of Niagara Falls, the night Catherine was born. He would not let her die. "God!" He prayed out loud. "As one of your children, I beg you to save Ashley. I've never asked you for anything, but I beg of you, don't  take her from me now. I will find a way to stop the end. If it is your will, help me stop the world from ending." He looked up from his kneeling position into a nurses eyes. "I-Is she ok?" He asked. The nurse replied "I don't know, but probably." Then he heard a flat line and a doctor yell for the nurse. The nurse cursed and ran into the room. Randy resumed praying and hoping that she would be ok.
