Today Beth is meeting my parents, I am not scared, no, fuck, I am terrified.
During sixth period, which I have with Beth, I go over to her and ask "You ready to meet my mom?"
She nods her head hesitantly and stares deep into my eyes.
I grab her hand just as the bell in ringing and we walk out of the school.
As we walk to her car, with all her stuff in it, I let go of her hand and tell her to just follow my car back to my house.
We part ways and I watch her start up her car as I do mine.

In almost no time we are in front of my house and I don't see my mom's car in the driveway.
Beth pulls in right behind me and I help her unload her car of a couple boxes and suitcases.
She gets a nervous look on her face and I try to soothe that with a kiss on the nose.
Beth smiles lightly as I once again show her to my room.
"We are going to be sharing a room, my idea actually," I say suggest fully
"Oh, are we?"
"I thought you might like it and hey it's only for a couple of days, plus the guest room is a fucking mess."
"Well that's fine, but when do I get to meet your parents?" She asks me
"Actually right now, as I can hear the garage."

We walk into the kitchen where my mother and father are, a rarity around here.
Beth greets them with kind words and they smile.
"Now you take good care of her son." My deadbeat dad says
I fucking hate that son of a bitch but I'll tell Beth later, like as in never, or maybe in a few weeks.
"Well, they seemed nice," Beth says
"Yeah..."
