11 AM na pero hindi ko parin nakikita si Loki. That's new. Usually, hindi talaga siya maagang nagigising tuwing weekends, pero hindi naman siya umaabot ng 11 AM. Is he oversleeping? Kinatok ko ang pinto ng kanyang kwarto at tinawag pa siya, ngunit wala akong natanggap na sagot o kahit ano. I got worried that he might be sick or hurt, so I tried rotating his door knob. It opened.
"Loki?"
The first thing I noticed was a figure under the blankets on the bed. It obviously isn't human. I lifted the fabric up to confirm my suspicions and... I was right. Unan lang ang nasa ilalim ng kumot.
"Is this a prank?" Pero hindi naman mag-eeffort si Loki nang ganto para sa prank lang. Besides, ang pangit ng pagkakagawa ng pillow mannequin, I'm pretty sure Loki wouldn't do it so lousily.
"Was he abducted?" I blurted out pero natawa rin ako sa sarili ko. Abducted? I didn't even hear any sound of intrusion and resistance from Loki. Unless... I'm so deep asleep? Or I'm not actually supposed to hear it but see it instead? Napatingin ako sa paligid at nakita ko sa may paanan ng kama ang Adidas slides ni Loki. Bakit nandito 'to? I have never once seen him barefoot dito sa unit. Nagsimula na tuloy akong mag-overthink. Posible ba talagang na-abduct siya?
Hinawakan ko ang kama niya. Of course, there isn't any warmth in here. Gaano na kaya siya katagal na wala dito? Although, I can't help but notice the faint masculine scent in his sheets— no, in this whole room. I am not sure if it came from his bathroom products or cologne, so it's either Loki took a bath and actually left, or the possible kidnapper sprayed his cologne to confuse me; to think that Loki left on his own.
Tinaas ko ang mga unang isa-isa para magtingin pa ng ibang signs nang may marinig akong kaluskos sa isang unan.
"Papel?" I opened the pillow and found a paper printed with a message among the feathers of the pillows. Hindi ito lukot, kaya siguradong nailagay 'to dito nang wala na si Loki sa kama. And whoever is the mastermind behind this was prepared, dahil printed pa ang message.

Tingnan ko ang phone ko at kung anu-anong sinearch at ginawa ngunit wala naman akong napala. Mahigit sampung minuto na ang nakakalipas. Ugh! Think, Lorelei, think! Ano pa bang meron sa phone ko?
May screen, may camera, may speaker, may apps, may texts. Lahat na natingnan ko, pati battery at sim card.
Yung password niya sa silver laptop niya ay nakuha niya sa dial pad. Kahit na i-try ko 'yon ay wala rin akong mararating dahil ang ibang characters ay sa keyboard lang makiki— OO NGA!
There is this feature on most android keyboards wherein if you hold a key long enough, may lalabas na katumbas nitong characters or numbers. It actually makes sense with the given characters. I am using three keyboards and one of them should work. And success! Sa unang keyboard ko pa lang, lumabas na agad ang mensahe.
LOKI IS IN THE CLUBROOM
"Bukas ba ang school ngayon?" Tanong ko sa sarili ko. Gusto kong tawagan sila Jamie at Al kaso pareho silang out of town.
Agad akong nagbihis at dinala ang mga necessities ko- stun pen, phone, wallet, lockpicking kit.
"Saan ka pupunta, Lori?" Tanong ni Tita Martha.
"Ah, sa school po, may hahanapin lang."
"Alas onse na ah. Magmadali ka na't alas dose nagsasara ang school niyo tuwing Sabado!"
