Matty's POV:

*thursday morning*

Here I am in front of Harry's house waiting for him to come out. I need him right now, he's the one I turn to when I know someone is in danger because he's so skilled at stuff and he's good at protecting people. Even though he can be a jerk and he can hurt people so badly he's a good friend. Me and Harry have been through a lot together and the stuff we did wasn't me I mean sleeping around, partying and smoking, stuff like that I finally woke up one morning and realised what I was doing and moved here three years ago but my past always seems to come right back and slap me across my face.

I finally hear Harry's door open. I look up and see him jogging to me in his sweats and socks. He looks like he just had a shower.

"what?"he asks rudely.

"I need some help kinda"i say scrunching my nose.

"what could that be?"he asks looking bored.

"well, Jace, Jai, Seth, Myles, Melanie, Victoria and Dylan are trying to get revenge again" I say.

Jace, Jai, Melanie, Dylan, Seth, Myles, Victoria and even Harry used to be my drunk buddies we did so much shit together and I kind of lost all their respect and did something terrible and now they're all after me.

"not them again I thought they'd give up by now what are they after doing?" he asks angrily.

"Hurting Marlee.. because they know she means a lot to me" I say and Harry shoulders tense and he punches my car.

"fuck no! why her?" he shouts. pulling his hair and pacing back and forth. 

"oi thats my car and because she means a lot to me they will try and take her away from me" I say.

"I won't let them touch her! They can fucking kiss my ass" He storms back inside.

I follow.

"so what are we going to do?" I ask trying to keep up.

"protect her as much as we can, I'll try and get as much friends of mine to keep an eye on her while I'll be doing the same, being with her as much as possible and we'll think of a way to crush them" he says putting a t shirt, jeans and shoes on and storming out to his car.

"okay then lets go" I say going our separate ways. 

I get into my car and off I go to school.

Marlee's POV:

The bell rings for english and I'm stood daydreaming at my locker.  I snap out of it and realise Matty is stood at the side of me smiling with his sweet smile.

"oh hi Matty" I say sighing.

"whats wrong?" he looks at me concerned.

"nothing, why would something be wrong I mean everything is fine, just fine" I say nervously. 

"waittt.. aren't you supposed to be in hospital?" I say confused. 

"stop lying, c'mon whats wrong? and yeah but they said I was good enough to go home but I wanted to see you so I came to school, is that so wrong?" he says grinning.

"it's nothing, just one of those days I guess and I think you should go home you shouldn't be near Tyus, he could do it again and I don't want you getting more hurt then you already are" I say worried. 

"I see and don't worry about me"he smiles.

He shouldn't be smiling right now.

"I always worry about you" I say.
