"Doesn't this place have cameras?!"

Katelyn stood in the middle of my ruined apartment. She had arrived a few minutes ago, after I had frantically called her begging for help.

"No", I said quietly. "There is hardly any crime in the part of town, since none of us have anything a thief could want. Not to mention, nothing here was stolen. Just broken and destroyed"

Katelyns face fell, and she walked over to my kitchen. All my glasses had been thrown onto the ground, and the remains of my plates sat in the sink.

I silently walked over to my desk, where Eli sat on the one thing that wasn't destroyed. For some reason the intruder had decided my desk wasn't worth their time.

I pulled the tabby cat into my hands, and found he still had a large gash on his leg. It was still bleeding, and looked worse then I had originally thought. I gently placed him on what remained of my bed, and tore off a small part of my shirt.

The bed was too far gone for me to worry about the blood dripping onto it, and I wrapped up Eli's leg with the cloth from my shirt. He didn't even flinch as I tied off the makeshift bandage, and placed him back on the ground.

"I'm calling Aaron", Katelyn said, walking over to me. "He can call the guard and hopefully figure out who did this"

"No!", I exclaimed, a little too loud. "Y-You can't do that"

Katelyn looked taken aback. "Why?", she asked. "Is something wrong"

I dropped my gaze down to Eli, and sat down on the bed. "It's just", I sighed. "I just don't want to look weak, or make Aaron worry"

Katelyn sat down next to me, and put an arm over my shoulders. "You could be in danger Aphmau", she explained. "Imagine how Aaron would react if you go hurt, especially if he knew he could've helped prevent it"

"Yeah...", I whispered. "Sorry, I just panicked"

Katelyn stood up and offered me her hand. "Here, gather anything you can", she instructed. "You can crash at my place tonight, and tomorrow we'll talk to Aaron, ok?"

I nodded, and Katelyn smiled. "Good. Now come on, let's scavenge anything we can"

"Now that Nicole is fixed we can finally try and figure out what the nether wants!", Lord Hayden exclaimed. "Why wait until they arrive, we can just destroy the problem before it spreads"

The other leaders glanced at each other in silence, before my father finally broke it. "We can't do that Hayden", he said. "What if their intentions are peaceful? We can't just assume they want to destroy us, or we'll all be sucked into a war.

"And Nicole is only supposed to be used incase of emergencies", Lord Garte pointed out. "If we use her foolishly, she might break again"

"Then we'll get her fixed again!"

"Dad!", Laurence shouted. "It's not as easy as you would think to fix an android. It takes a extremely skilled mechanic to fix even the simplest androids, and Nicole is one of the most complex androids ever made!"

Everyone went silent, including Lord Hayden. "Honestly", Laurence continued. "I'm surprised you even found someone with the skill fix her, Aaron"

"Yes", my father agreed. "It is amazing, and you said she was only a plaza mechanic, didn't you Aaron?"

"Well if this plaza mechanic is as skill as you say, why isn't she here at the castle incase something happens again?"

"She has a life of her own", I snapped. "She did a great duty to her country, and I'm not going to pressure her into something she doesn't want"
