I've been asked to do coloring tutorials multiple times. But I never really got around to it... QwQ
Well... Here you guys go! Numero une! I'll probably do more when I'm not lazy ^^
I'm using a free phone app called Ibis Paint X. I worked on 4 layers. One for lineart, one for gray background, and 2 for coloring
Part 1: Lineart
I just chose to do a sketch for this example. I recommend connecting your lines properly though! It'll make things much easier later on ^^
Step 2: Base layer
I start with a basic light color like this. Then I shift my hue slightly, and lower the brightness of the color.
I use an airbrush then to do something like this:
Step 3. First shading layer. Pick a light source. I chose for mine to come from the right ^^
DO NOT DO ACTUAL SHADING WITH AIRBRUSH. I personally like the soft dip pen for shading
Step 4 Move your hue, and lower your saturation and brightness
Follow your previous shading lines ^^
Step 5: You can add blushies, it's optional. I like to though! Use airbrush for this
Step 6: Highlights! Not necessary but again, I like to ^^
And here's what it looks like next to some color. Don't be afraid to shade more if you need to ^^
Also, don't be afraid to play with colors and styles on your own! It'd suck a lot of all of us shaded the same way after all! ;D
Calemvir_Blaze Here you go! ^^
