*Dirk's POV*
I crossed my arms as I waited for everyone to leave. The man with long pink hair looked at him and smiled, handing me a tabloid. I took it from him and handed gave him the money for it.
"You're new here, right?" The man asked with a small smile.
"Huh? I've never been around this part of Kyoto. I've lived here for eight years now," I told him. My voice was naturally rough sounding. "I'm Dirk."
The man stared at me. "Dirk...? I'm Shiro, Oishi told me about you," he smiled. "So you're the leader of this group now."
I nodded. "I'm meeting the rest of the members," I said as I looked up at the older man.
"Osaki was the one to tell you to become the leader, right?" Shiro asked as he placed a hand on my back. We started walking together.
"Yes. When I came to this country, Mr. Washi found me and took me in. He raised me like his daughter, and Osaki is like a brother to me," I smiled fondly as I remember the family that took me in.
"Daughter? You're a girl? I would never had guessed that you were a girl," Shiro said. "You're quite a handsome girl."
I laughed a little. "Thank you," I said. "I get that a lot."
"So what do you do for a living?" Shiro asked as he slung an arm around my shoulders.
"I'm a kimono maker. I actually made the one that you are wearing," I said with a small smirk on my lips.
"Huh? You did? It's very comfortable! You're good at making at making kimonos." Shiro said.
"Oh, hello, Shiro, Dirk," we turned to see the constable Kuno with the Chinese girl, Xing.
"Master!" Xing said as she threw her arms around me.
"Xing, get off of me," I said as I softly pushed the girl off of me.
Xing's parents sold Xing for money, and she was sent to Japan to become a sex slave. I was fifteen when I found her and saved her from becoming a slave. She started to follow me so I made her my assistant.
"Doubt she'll do that," I looked over to see Sadow behind Kuno.
Sadow just showed up one day in front of the Washi Household. Kurosawa, the maid, found him passed out and helped him in. I helped Sadow regain his strength, and he became my helper as well.
Xing was pulled off of me by a blue haired man with his hair over his eye. It was Soga. I went to his flower shop to look for some flowers for designs for my kimonos.
"Dirk doesn't like you doing that," Soga said.
Xing pouted softly before looking at me again. "Master, Osaki's father wanted to talk to you and asked you to come as soon as you can."
I nodded and left. I could hear Shiro saying, "I'm going to visit Oishi."
I got to the Washi house and went by Kurosawa, who stared at me as if she had heart eyes. I smiled and waved at her before going in Mr. Washi's office. Osaki was in there with him.
"What is it?" I asked as I looked at them.
Osaki looked up before saying, "The Edo and Nagasaki Vigilantes learned of our group."
"They're coming in a week," Mr. Washi said. "Both leaders are older than you, but do not feel pressured. You still are new to all of this."
I nodded. "Okay," I said before I could leave. I went back to my room and started to work on a kimono. The kimono was for a wedding for a wealthy person. I have a week to get ready for them. God...I'm nervous.
