School was a bummer. We learned nothing about everything we had already learned last year. On top of that, all of my teachers suck.
But Grampa Joon taking me home before going back to work would always make my day. He'd make me laugh and joke around about dumb shit I told him about.
Grampa Joon was always seen as the lesser of BTS, but he's but less. He helps me with homework, gives me advice, and even corrects my essays and study guides - just to make sure I get good grades.
I walked outside of my school building, glad that school was finally over. I had earlier told Changkyun to come over my house so we could hang out today. He said he'd meet me there at four so I was pretty happy.
My family's car pulled up and the tinted window of the passenger side rolled down. I expected to see my Grampa but instead I saw my father.
My eyes widened and I rushed towards the car - "APPA!!"
"Hey sweetpea, how was school today?" My father asked me as I climbed into the car, quite excited.
My father almost never picked me up from school. Usually my mother would take me and then Grampa Joon would pick me up.
"It sucked...but I'm happy to see you!" I smiled, shutting the door. My father chuckled as we began to drive away from the school - in the opposite direction of our house.
"Uhmm Appa? Where are we going?" I questioned. "I need to talk to you about something, very important."
Knowing my dad, whenever he uses the word 'very' with a smile or a frown on his face, he means business. This was one of the occasions where he was smiling.
"Okay, so what is it??" I asked, folding my hands in my lap. My dad looked over at me and grabbed my left hand, something he does when he's excited.
"What would you say if I told you that I was planning on asking your Eomma to marry me?"
I gasped, "Are you?!" My dad nodded, "I am."
"Ohhh Appa!!" I cooed, "When?? How??" My dad chuckled, "I was thinking about doing it if we win the BBMA Top Social Artist Award, and if we don't I'll just do it on Vlive."
"Do you have the ring??" I asked.
My dad was always the type to forget simple things. He forgets his birthday sometimes too. The only thing he doesn't forget is mine and Eommas birthday. As well as my adoption day, and their anniversary.
"I do," He answered, reaching into his shirt pocket. "Got it before I came to pick you up." My dad handed the velvety red box, and I opened it.
The ring with a simple dark silver band with three jewels engraved into it - three birthstones actually.
Amethyst; Eomma.
Aquamarine; Appa.
And
Blue Topaz; Mine."Appa...it's so pretty." I gasped, "It has our birthstones on it and everything!"
"Look on the inside."
I raised an eyebrow and gently pulled the ring out of the box. I looked on the inside of the ring, what was there made me want to cry; "Let me fly with you - 2012 and Forever."
"You think he'll like it?" My dad asked. I laughed, "You really have to ask?" My dad smiled and shook his head as he kept driving.
I couldn't wait..
