Chapter 2: Ocean of Emotion

A week or so later, I eventually somewhat started to get over my guilt for angering Will, realizing it couldn't be helped. Though I still felt a bit down. I sat outside in the grass near the garden, feeling the a subtle breeze flow through my hair and hot summer sun shining down on me. It was a perfect summer day in June. I took a deep breath of the fresh air, inhaling the scent of the fresh flowers in the garden. My lips curved into a smile and my eyes closed. "Peaceful..this is bliss." I said to myself quietly.

I frolicked there for a bit, when suddenly I heard something. It was like a high pitched squeal. Then, I heard it again. This time, it was louder and more clear. "Cieeeeeeeeeel!!!!" It squealed. I sat up and opened my eyes then turned in the direction of the manor. In the near distance, Ciel was sitting at the outdoor tea table as Sebastian poured his tea.

   When Sebastian stepped aside though, there in front of Ciel, sat what seemed to be a girl about his age with blonde hair that was in spiraled pigtails, pale skin and big, emerald green eyes. I snuck a bit closer by army crawling through the tall grass so I could hear their conversation.

"Please Ciel?! It'd be so much fun! You'd look so cute in the bathing suit I picked out for you!" The girl said. "Elizabeth, why do you want me to swim with you?" Ciel asked her. "Because it would be more fun that way! And how many more times must I remind you to call me Lizzy?" She said. Suddenly my nose twitched. 'Shit no no no!' I thought, trying to hold it in.....Nope, too late.

    "A-Achoo!!" I sneezed. I looked back at the two 13 year olds to find them both staring at me. I smiled nervously and stood up. The girl looked at me up and down and smiled. "Oh my! Your hair is so lovely! Ciel who is this?" She asked. Ciel sighed. "This is (Y/N), Sebastian's pregnant wife. (Y/N), This is Lady Elizabeth Ethel Cordelia Midford, my betrothed." He said.

I smiled. "Nice to meet you Miss Elizabeth." I greeted. Lizzie grinned and stood up and rushed over to me. "Oh my you're so cute! You should definitely come with us this afternoon! In fact, why don't we bring everyone along?" She asked. I stared at her a bit confused. "I-I beg your pardon, but where exactly would we be going?" I asked. She beamed.

    "That's alright dear, we are going to the beach! Doesn't that sound exciting?" She asked. I nodded smiling. "I've never been to a beach before, but I've heard about them, seem them and read about them." I admitted as I saw Sebastian smirk out of the corner of my eye. "Then that settles it! We are leaving in one hour!" She exclaimed.

       After we arrived at the beach, Lizzie and Ciel were changed into their suits by Sebastian and Mey-Rin in the changing tents. I looked around the beach. There was hardly anyone else there but us. The sun was shining, the waters were calm and beautifully blue. I smiled feeling the sand in my toes as the water gently washed up past my ankles and behind my heels. So far, I loved the beach.

     "Cieeeeeel! Let's go swim!" Lizzie exclaimed. Ciel sighed. "Fine.." he said in his normal monotone voice. "Yay!! The rest of you should come swim too! It'll be fun!!" She chirped, yanking Ciel into the water with her. Sebastian chuckled. "As you wish my lady." He answered with a perfect bow. Sebastian then turned to face the other 3. "Alright, you three heard Miss Elizabeth. Get changed and enjoy yourselves. But if a single one of you does anything reckless, you will regret every breath you've ever taken. Understood?" He said with a closed-eyed smile.

       "Yes sir!" They responded in unison, rushing to the changing tents. I chuckled. "Wow, didn't know that you could be such a Drill Sargent." I said. He smirked. "Well, it's hard to be loose with those 3 imbeciles." He replied. I nodded. "So are you gonna swim with us?" I asked. Sebastian smiled at me.

    "Of course, since Lady Elizabeth requested that I do." He said. I smiled looking him up and down. He had on a brown beach shirt and swim trunks. I tugged at my swimsuit strap. "You look pretty good in a swimsuit." I complimented. He chuckled. "As do you my love."

     After the three of them were done changing into their suits, we went into the water. Finni started splashing around, getting me, Mey-Rin and Bard wet. We laughed and I splashed back, initiating a splash war. Mey-Rin retaliated, giggling. Bard doused us in the water and got Sebastian wet in the process.

    I laughed, splashing him after they froze in fear. He smiled at me. "Alright you." He said lifting me up and putting me on his shoulders. I chuckled feeling like a kid but it was a nice feeling. "Ciel and Sebastian! Fancy seeing you here." We heard. I looked towards the shore and there stood two males.

    A blonde boy that seemed about Ciel and Lizzie's age, and a man with black, slicked back hair and glasses that resembled some of Sebastian's demonic features. Ciel sighed in frustration. "What are you doing here Alois?" He asked.

   The boy smirked evilly. "What? Is spending the day at the beach a crime?" He asked. Lizzie smiled. "Absolutely not! Please join us Mister Trancy!" She said. He smiled. "Of course, I'd be happy to. Claude!" He shouted. The man nodded.

    "Yes your highness." He said. He then picked him up carrying him over to us. Sebastian growled quietly, glaring at them. The boy looked over at us. "Hmm, you look a tad familiar. Who are you?" He asked. I opened my mouth to speak but Sebastian interrupted.

   "This is (Y/N), my wife. I don't believe you've met." He answered. "Ah, well then, nice to meet you miss (Y/N). I am Alois Trancy, and this is Claude." He said with a seemingly fake smile. I nodded and smiled. "Nice to meet you as well Mister Trancy." I said.

       After a while of awkwardness while Lizzie had fun with Alois and a grumpy Ciel, Grell had shown up and swam with us a bit. "(Y/N), may I speak to you for a moment?" Sebastian said. I nodded and approached. He leaned in and whispered to me.

    "Don't trust Claude. Don't even go near him or look at him. He's a filthy, thieving little mongrel." He said. "How so?" I asked. He sighed. "It's a long story, but he tried to steal my young master. So please just do as I ask and stay clear of him." He pleaded. I sighed. "Alright, if you say so." I said.

    We continued swimming for a while longer till Grell pulled a ball out of his bag. "Oh Sebas-Chan! Catch!" He said throwing it to Sebastian. The ball however ended up bouncing off of Tanaka's head and bounded off into the woods. Sebastian sighed. "I'll be right back."   He said taking off into the Forrest. I stayed in the water patiently.

      Suddenly, I felt an arm wrap around my waist. "Now tell me, how does an idiot like him get to marry a beauty like you hmm?" I heard someone say. I rolled my eyes. "Hello Claude, I'd appreciate it if you let go of my waist please." I said. He ignored me, feeling my abdomen. He snickered. "Oh my, I see you're expecting." He said. I began to feel very irritated.

    "Yes, I am and I'd rather not have a miscarriage so let go!" I growled. "Mmm feisty I-" He stopped. "If you ever lay another hand on my wife again, I swear you will never live to tell the tale." I heard Sebastian hiss. Claude chuckled and let go. "Mhmm, childish as usual Michaelis. Won't share your toys with me." He said.

       I hissed. "I am no toy sir, in fact I am very well not someone to be tampered with, and if I were you I'd keep my mouth shut!!" I snarled. He smirked. "If that's what you wish." And with that he walked away. "Serves him right eh?" Grell said holding my shoulder. "Yep"

     "Lizzie what the bloody hell is that thing?!" Ciel shouted. We all turned to see Lizzie riding on some sort of transparent purple sea creature. "I'm not sure but he's very sweet!" She giggled. We all smiled, enjoying the rest of the afternoon at the beach.
