*Annabeth*

(The bold will be in third person POV. They are Leo's memories.)

All I felt was fury bubbling inside of me. Who does she think she is?! Showing us Leo's memories without his permission is just disrespectful! She can't just waltz in here and all of a sudden show Leo's memories just because we aren't a "perfect family"! She's the one to talk. I mean come on! Hera literally threw Hephaestus, Leo's dad mind you, just because he looked hideous. I just want to-

I feel a pair of arms hug me from behind, which I instantly calm into. The sent of the ocean fill my nostrils making me want to stay like this forever. Percy always knows when i'm furious. Sighing, he kissed me on the forehead and waited.

A wave of guilt washed over me. As much as I hate to say it in my head, Hera was right. We don't trust each other fully like we should. Even if it is an invasion of privacy, I just can't help but let my curiosity take over. I'm usually good at reading people when I first meet them. So when I first meet Leo I was pretty sure I knew him like the back of my hand.

Now if Hera says that he's had the worst childhood, it makes me wonder what Leo's been hiding from us. I want to find out, and it seems as if everyone else has the same feelings as I do. As I was thinking this, a bright light shown upon us.

When I opened my eyes, I saw a huge TV installed inside the dome. I looked over at everyone, "Are guys ready?" They all had a look of determination on their faces. "Yeah...how hard can it be?" Frank causally said. And with that, his memories began.

A boy with sandy unruly hair and a tan skin seemed to concentrate on a piece of drawing. His eyebrows furrowed and his tounge sticked out showing that this drawing was his best one yet.

Hazel, Piper and of course my boyfriend squeled at the little child version of Leo. Although I will never admit it out loud, he was cute. So this is what Leo looked like...I almost awed at the sight as well.

The five year old was so focused on his master piece that he didn't even seem the to realize the beautiful women looking down at him smiling. She kneeled down before him, letting the sun show her flawless features.

My eyes widened in shock...why is Hera there? I gripped onto Percy's shirt, trying to not let my anger out.

"What are you working on my little hero?" The goddess asked at the little boy. He did the finishing touches on it and picked it up to show Hera. Little Leo smiled brightly, giving her an adorable toothless one. "Is my shwip!" (It's my ship!)

He ran up to her and lifted the drawing so she could see. The boat was very detailed, from the mast and all they way to the Dragon head.

"Leo drew the Argo 2 when he was only five years old?!" Frank exclaimed. I looked at the detailed drawing, "I guess so".

Hera frowned as she grabbed the drawing. Then out of no where the wind grew stronger and carried it away. Leo tried his best to retrieve it, but it was to late and the wind took it to gods knows where. Leo seemed to want to burst out crying, but knew that if he did then Hera will become disappointed on him.

So instead he sadly walked up to Hera and grabbed her hand. "Don't worry my little hero," she said soothingly. "You'll see that drawing again. It's your destiny, but right now it's not important." She gently tugged on Leo's arm, "Let's go my little hero. It's time for your training".

Training? But he is only five years old. Sure demi-gods start at a young age, but not that young! "What is Hera doing there anyway?" Jason asked. No one said anything because we don't have an answer. Hades, I don't have answer!

The little boy firmly grabbed Hera's hand as they walked through an empty filed of wild flowers. Leo looked up at Hera with a confused expression, "Tía, que estamos haciendo aquí?" Hera smiled lightly, "Estamos aquí para practicar tus poderes. Ven para acá." Hera replied, guiding Leo to wet grass.

"Annabeth...translate!" Percy whined. I huffed, "What makes you think I know Spanish? Just because i'm a daughter of Athena doesn't mean I know everything." They looked at me expression less. "Well...do you?" Piper asked staring into me. I stared back for a while before saying, "Well duh I do. Lucky for you guys I took Spanish and learned pretty quickly. Leo asked: Aunt, what are we doing here? Then Hera replied: We are here to practice your powers. Come over here."

They looked at me amazed as if I just used some sort of power. Frank seemed to be at thought, "Why did he just call the Queen of the heaven's his aunt?" Honestly these people need to put two and two together! "She can just come waltzing in declaring that she's a powerful immortal goddess." Frank blushed, "Yeah. I knew that." Hazel kissed him on the cheek, probably thinking that was going to calm him down. Instead his blush intensified.

The little boy stood in the middle of the field. The immortal smiled at him, "Now my little hero, you have a power right?" Leo looked up and smiled widely, "Yeah! I-I haves powers!" He exclaimed lighting himself on fire so he could prove it. Hera nodded approvingly.

Hazel, Piper and Percy squealed like a bunch of school girls at Leo's choice of words. Percy however was the one with the highest pitch which caused me to face palm.

"Now for your first lesson, I want you to become used to this power. Get to know it and don't become afraid of it. One day this power," she tapped Leo's forehead while saying the next words. "And your smarts will become greatly needed by your friends. When you grow up you'll become very important to a team and they will treat you as if they were your very own family".

"That's true Leo we ARE your family and you ARE important." Hazel whispered.

Little Leo looked up at Hera, not quite understanding her words, but nodded anyway. "Now, try to control the flame in just a certain part of your body." She asked Leo to which he nodded again and focused on his hand. His tounge was out in concentration as he did so.

After a short while he huffed out in annoyance. "Tía! I-I cants do it! I don'ts understand! Why am I doing this! I wanna be with mamá!" Steam exploded from his ears and nose indicating how frustrated Leo currently was.

Hera frowned, "Leo, listen to me." She gently grabbed his chin so he was facing her now. "Someday, everything will make perfect sense. So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears and always remember...EVERYTHING happens for a reason."

"Whoah...didn't know Hera could give good advice". Percy said dumbly. Yep, i'm dating this one.

Leo was determined now, Hera's words ringing through his ears. He lifted his hand again, scrunched his eyebrows and bit his lip. After a few minutes, his hand erupted in flames and he looked at Hera as if he'd just won one million dollars.

"I dids it! I dids it!" Little Leo giggled. Hera seemed to surpress a smIle herself but failed due to his contagious giggles. "Good job, little hero. This is just the first step of many." Leo nodded and then yawed causing the immortal to raise her perfect eyebrow.

"Let's go home, shall we?" She stretched her hand and Leo nodded, eagerly grabbing the soft hand. They walked off into the direction to which they came from, back into the streets of Houston, Texas.

Hera's words stuck with me everywhere I went. At first it I thought it was just mumbo jumbo, but when I got older these words applied to my everyday life.

"What was that?" Jason asked alarmed. "I'm pretty sure that was Leo's monologue. I have a feeling we will be hearing a lot of that for now on." I replied. They all nodded and we waited for the next memory to pop up.

So it's finals week and school ends on a Friday. I'm not sure if I'll be able to write that often, but I'll try. Also give this book a chance. I have SO much ideas that I want to do for Leo! Hopefully I didn't bore you. Thanks! -Majesticallymajestic
