Chapter 6 ★ Take Action

Back at the vampire division, Normani was barely able to hold up her end of the bargain. In a matter of an hour, Lauren's father was informed about his daughter's sudden disappearance.

The chocolate skinned beauty tried to reason that Lauren just needed some time alone from their fight earlier. But nothing availed.

Michael Jauregui dismissed Normani and immediately. He ordered a search party of the most elite vampires to find Lauren. At daybreak, they will search in their area first then half will move north while the others out south.

In a frantic state, Normani sped to her dorm room and gathered animal blood supply and the last few blood pills she owned putting everything in her backpack. She needed to find Lauren before they do or they'll serve severe consequences.

At least when the chocolate skinned beauty informs her best friend, wherever she is, they can just head back. Simple as that.

Unless, something terribly wrong did happen to Lauren. That's a whole other story to think about. Normani hopes that nothing came in Lauren's way to complicate her search for the green eyed vampire.

She slung the backpack over her shoulders and headed towards the door. She stopped.

Turning around, Normani observed the window. Now that she thought about it, Lauren made her jump down there before. Should she do it again?

"Ha, nope."

That's when Normani realized this was an opportunity to think of a way to stop the commotion.

An idea finally hit her and she quickly took out a paper and pen. She was going to write a fake letter and make it seem like Lauren wrote it. This was the only thing she could think of at the moment so it better work.

The letter read:

Father,

I've decided to give myself some time alone. I don't want to keep fighting with you about unnecessary things. I am of that age where I can live on my own. Don't worry about where I am going. Trust me on this. Even if I may not listen to you all of the time, I will still use what you've taught me so you can guarantee that I will be careful and safe. I'll come back once I'm ready.

Lauren

After making the finishing touches on the letter, she placed her backpack on the bed and used her super speed to race down the stairs. Normani quickly stopped before turning the corner as she heard a familiar voice. She took a peek to see who it was.

"I need you to find my daughter as soon as possible." Her suspicions were correct. It was Michael Jauregui.

"Yes, sir. We will do everything to get her back." Another man, who Normani didn't recognize, answered.

"Alright, I'm entrusting you with this mission. If Lauren is injured, tend to her immediately. If she is with a human for some unknown reason, kill the human."

The chocolate skinned beauty's eyes widened at the statement.

"But sir-" The man looked at the head vampire surprised.
