The Night is Still Young

It was 3 pm when we reached Rose's house. Time fly so fast or may be its just me being the time passer. well,not new.

'come on,lazy-hazy Jules.hurry up with last two bags' said Rose playfully. Tired wouldn't be able to define what I was feeling ...more like tornado wrecked. Starting from hairs which were tied up as sweaty messy bun ,flecks of grass lying on my green top decorating green ,more green after the abandoned park visit at noon we decided to have for sake of fun.nevertheless,it was already failed experiment if we take scorching sun rays and dirt decorated slides into consideration. Rest is least to say,the history.

I replied holding the bags ,' you wouldn't say that if you don't want to be tickle-tortured to begging tickling monster for mercy,R' . with that,her smile dropped and she gulped in fear of playing victim again.she was most ticklish person I have ever known. Ticklish monster sure knew that about her. Ticklish monster,well that honorable person on face of the Earth would be me.

Evil much,I know.

'uh...Jules why don't you rest inside while I wait for Patrick here,who would be here any minute now' said Rose hesitantly.

I winked at her playfully before I replied ,'Don't worry,R.the tickle monster is on vacation,lately.'

with that,I marched smugly towards the door and entered inside. The house's silence greeted me which was a new thing. Most of the time, it was full of life with Will's mischiefs or Rose's laughs. Patrick was sure a lucky dad and husband. But I didn't need to get jealous. everybody knows the perks of being single. I wasn't going to trade that rights ,soon.

I dropped the bags in the already settled pile of bags in living room.Sound of stopping of revving of engine caught my attention. I,just in time jogged towards kitchen window to see Patrick's Audi in the driveway. He parked the car. After a moment,the car door opened simultaneously from either sides to reveal Sulking Patrick and Grinning Will .

Will whistling care-freely strolled towards the doorway oblivious to Patrick's stare and Rose's confused demeanor. Instead of following Will's suit ,Patrick stayed back and Rose caught up with Patrick about his day. My bets were on Will for the cause.I think he might have increased his pocket money more in spite of complaints from school for pulling pranks every now and then. I would have joined his pity party ,had he not ruined my lazy Friday.

The sound of door opening in house caught my attention.I moved out the kitchen to see Will paying his undivided attention to some bag in his hand.I grinned evilly and ruffled Will's hair who seemed so happy in his own world to even notice, I did that just one thing he had asked me not to do. His brown blonde hairs was a prized possession. Messing his hairs was felony from his point of view. Oblivious to it, He strolled towards living room and I followed his suit.

We took our seats in the living room's couch. I raised my eyebrows at the unknown bags which seemed to be lighting up his world for quite some minutes.He smiled as if he had won some battle,unaware of the pile of bags surrounding the couch.

Instead of first hand narrations as an explanation,He opened the drum roll app on his phone in an attempt to make more tense and dramatic atmosphere.

Yeah,right.As if it already wasn't.

He dug his right hand in the bag and looking smug ,revealed newest version of his favorite video game. I put my hands over my mouth to cover the shocking gasp. the temporary shock,of course,had a story behind it.

some weeks ago, We were strolling in the video game shop only to hear the shopkeeper gushing about this latest version on phone call. We ended up talking about pros and cons of game to betting if Patrick was going to buy it for Will or not. Now that I think his school performance got better in a month. I connected the dots and held back another gasp. He must really love the video games to death ,to ace school exams and play field like a freaking pro for prize as such .
