Chapter Twenty-Four:
"Wake up!" Someone yells from the end of my bed.
"Shut up you..." I say, trying to go back to sleep but the person pulled off my covers, revealing my shorts and tank top.
"Holy shit sexy..." I hear the person say.
"Go away Owen! It's the weekend and- oh fuck! We have practice!" I jump up and go to my dresser. I pull out my jersey and pull it over my white tank top.
"Out!" I yell and he slowly walks out. I pull on some shorts and grab my jacket. I walk out and kiss the top of Keegan and Kaylee's head.
"Tell your mom I'm going to practice. Bye!" I say and walk to my bike.
"Hello..Forget about me?" Owen asks from behind.
"Nope but I don't care." I say.
"I'm truly hurt...but whatever I'll just go to your room and go threw your underwear draw. Maybe even your whole room." He smirks.
"Get in your car." I say and get off my bike and walk to the passenger door. I hop in to find I'm sitting on something. I pull it out to reveal a note with, Cynthia, scribbled on it.
"Lee." I correct him.
"Wasn't me. Mom." He says. I open it up and read,
Hey Cynthia I hope you remember me, I haven't seen you since you and Owen were kids. I just want you to come and have dinner with us tonight. Unless you don't have anything planned, I expect you to be here. Can't wait to see you tonight!
"Your mother is so bossy but I love her!" I smirk.
"Well then I guess were having dinner tonight, oh I forgot to tell you that practice was cancelled so I'm taking you somewhere." He smirks and turns up the music so I couldn't fight with him about it. He pulls up at somewhere I haven't been in so long.
"Our tree fort! I remember when your dad and my dad built this for us!" I say.
"I remember when we were 7 and loved each other." He murmurs.
"It's not my fault you got popular and I stayed a nobody." I say.
"We were best friend's and then you started hanging out with Chloe, Alex, Trevor, and Jaden." He says.
"You are now friend's with them and their boyfriend's." I say.
"Yea, Tyler, Adison, and Elie." He smirks. I laughed and got out, climbing up the tree. I got up and sat on the little bean bag.
"I love your family." I say, "I knew Jordy wouldn't remember me." I finish.
"I never met your siblings but I love your mom and dad." He says.
"So...this is where you wanted to take me?" I ask, standing up.
"One place." He says and starts climbing out, me following. We get in the car and start driving again.
"So…where are we going now?" I ask.
"Not telling." He smirks.
"Jackass." I say as I slump down into the seat. We drive to a parking lot and get out.
"Where are we?" I ask.
"Somewhere we haven't been in forever." He says and I instantly remember.
"This is the place where we first kissed." I smirk, remembering.
"Yea then some lady yelled at my mom for letting two 5 year old children kiss." We laughs.
"We also had our first fight here." I say.
"Yea and when you pushed me the water and I dragged you in." He laughs.
"This was the last place we hung out." I says.
"This is where we grew up, we were always here together." I say.
"You told me you loved me." He says.
"I did. We grew apart." He says.
"But I still think you love me somewhere in your heart." He smiles.
"Where to next?" I ask.
"One more stop then we are having lunch and then your going home and I'm going to see you tonight at 5." He smirks and walks to the car. I quickly jump in and wait for him.
"Let's go." He says and starts the engine. We drive until we stop at an old park that I soon remember.
"The park when you met Tyler and Adison and Elie and everybody else." I say.
"No it's the park where we met." I say and I smile.
"Should we eat now?" He says, pointing to a restaurant.
"Yea." I say and we walk to the restaurant. We walk in to find a lady who leads us to a table.
"What would you like to drink, darling?" She asks Owen.
"My usual Grandma." He smiles at her.
"And for your lovely lady?" She asks me.
"Uh…a Mountain Dew." I say.
"Okay." She says.
"And I'm not Owen's lady…" I say, trying to be sweet.
"Yet." She says and walks away. I look at the menu and decide to order a burger and fries.
"So…that's your grandma?" I ask.
"Yea…" He says.
