The microwave timer dings and, seconds later, Taylor walks in and heads to sit on the sofa, her back laying on the armrest and her legs draped across Ed's lap. He reaches over to grab a handful of the freshly popped popcorn from the bowl and shoves it in his mouth.
"You look silly," Taylor giggles.
"What?" he asks, although it doesn't come out clear because of the buttery snack.
"I said you look silly, but it's cute, don't worry."
"Hm," he says with a smirk, "If you say so."
Taylor nods her head and they both turn back to watch the movie they had started watching earlier in the night. A comfortable silence settles in while Ed starts to absentmindedly run his hand over her legs.
After a few moments, she turns to him, remembering something.
"Hey!" the blonde exclaims, "It's our anniversary!"
"What?" Ed repeats as a confused and slightly nervous expression sweeps across his features, afraid of forgetting something he shouldn't have.
"Don't worry, it's just that two years ago today, I heard Lego House for the first time. I loved it so much that I wrote those lyrics on my arm," she smiles, leaning over to plant a light kiss on his shoulder.
"Oh, yeah! I remember now. I think that that was the moment I knew I had to meet you!" he says, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind Taylor's ear.
"I guess you could say that you wanted to 'know me better'," she laughs and Ed soon joins in. They always knew how to make each other smile.
As the laughter quiets down, he puts his hand on her cheek, bringing her closer to him and mumbles, "I think this is cause for celebration," before pulling her lips to his.
