The next day after the tall man delivers the food to john and his family, his 3 week old daughter Rose got sick.
John and his wife are worried for there daughters health and calls in a doctor to check her.
While the doctor is checking on Rose John goes to the back yard and takes the monkeys paw and holds it in his right hand again, and wishes " I wish for my daughter to be healthy again!"
The paw twists and turns like a snake in his hand and john drops it again and runs back in to the house.
The doctor is standing by the front door with his head down.
" I'm sorry but I don't think she will make it... she has a very bad fever her body is shutting down" the doctor says as he opens the door to leave.
John stops him before he leaves " is there anyway we can keep her alive?" John sighs.
The doctor shook his head looking down and left the house.
2 weeks later rose had past away and so did Mary his wife. John has became very depressed.
A week after the death of his daughter and wife he goes to the back yard and wishes for his family back, after he drops the monkeys paw he walks back to the house and waits for his family to return.
