"I am going to be late for school Mom, come on." Jacob said. Jacob rushed to his book bag, and ran straight to the door. His mom was feeding his little sister, and told Jacob to "Calm down you won't be late." Then Jacob said. "Let's go then." Mom grabbed her purse, and keys and then walked out the door.
The reason Jacob is so happy to go to school is because his class won the free day, for selling the most pizza's.
Jacob arrives to the school, and jumps out of the car, and hugs his mom "Bye mom love you" he said. Mom says. " Bye sweetie have a good day, and be careful in the pool. Make sure you know what you are doing before you jump into the deep. I love you too, sweet heart."
Jacob walks into the building looking for his friends, and then he notices that they didn't get on the bus that was across the street from his house. Jacobs friends didn't show up to the funnest day of the school year. He gets sad because he knows that now he has to sit by someone at lunch that he either doesn't like, doesn't know, or he has to sit alone.
Jacob walks out into the school yard where the pool is, and he see's his friend Carter. "Hey where were you this morning?" he asked. "Well, I was here early so that I could help clean the pool for today." Carter said. Then Jacobs other friend shows up a little late. "Hey Andy, why are you late?" Jacob questioned. "He probably slept in late." Carter said. "Yeah, I woke up a little late so I didn't have time to eat breakfast." Andy said.
"But you have a Breakfast pizza in your hand." Carter said. "Yeah, my dad got it for me on our way here for me to eat." Andy said. "Well, what else would you do with it?" Jacob said, causing everyone to laugh. Carter looked around to see if any one would notice that he was already dressed, but no one looked except for Jacob and Andy.
Carter started to yell, "GO GET DRESSED SO WE CAN GET STARTED!" Which caused everyone to finally looked at him.
Everyone ran into the locker rooms, and quickly got dressed. On the other hand Jacob didn't get dressed. Carter just looked at Jacob like if someone just farted, but you don't know who it was. Anyway, Jacob didn't get dressed, so Carter went up to Jacob and said. "Hey, why didn't you get dressed?" Jacob replied with. "I didn't get dressed because I am scared, and don't know how to swim." Jacob didn't know that there wasn't a shallow end of this pool, so he was freaking out.
Carter tries to get him to get dressed, but before he talk to him he thinks about Andy. He didn't know why he was thinking about Andy, but he was. Andy came out of the locker with is swim gear on, and then tries to get Jacob to get in the pool. "It is not that bad once you get in. Are you scared?" Andy said. Jacob says. "Yes, and I don't know how to swim." "They are going to teach us." Andy said. "Why can't we be in shallower water?" Jacob said. Andy looks at Carter and says. "They don't want us to touch the ground so that we don't freak out when we are in danger. Like in the ocean, or like out in a public pool, and they ask you to take a swim test we need to know these things."
"That makes sense I will go get dressed now." Jacob said. Jacob walk into the locker room and puts on his swim gear. He walk out looking ready to face the pool. Carter look at him and thought that he will need a few things before he gets in that pool, but no, Jacob walks to the edge of the pool, and he He HE........ he runs away from the edge of the pool to Andy. Everyone starts to laugh at him, because he is scared.
So Jacob gets up and starts to walk to the edge but this time he continues to keep walking. He starts to walk of the edge, and he gets scared off the bat. He does a belly flop into the pool, because he tries to stop himself. The Bell rings and everyone is going home, all but one person. Jacob never leaves the pool.
* 2 Hours after School*
Mom "Where is Jacob he was supposed to be home two hours ago?"
Dad " I have no idea, but I can send Alexander out looking for him, he would be the one person that knows where he is."
Mom calls down Alexander from his room.
Mom "Hey Alex can you please go out looking for your brother? We have no idea where he is."
Alexander "Yes, but he is probably still at the school. I'll go look there first."
Alex leaves the house and gets into his car. He remembers that he left his car keys in the house and walks back into the house, grabs his keys that where sitting on his headboard, and gets back into his car to start it up. He pulls out of the drive way, and he starts driving down the street towards the school.
Alexander pulls up to the school, and see's Jacob sitting up on top of the water upside down. Alexander is on his knees staring, because his brother is just laying there. For a minute Alex thought that Jacob was just messing around, but a minute goes by and he still hasn't moved.
Alexander pulls Jacob out of the water, but when he gets Jacob out of the water he floats above the concrete. So Alexander puts him back into the water where Jacob starts to move. Alex freaks out when he realizes that Jacob wasn't getting out of the water, but he can only move in the water.
