A/N: If you actually liked it and got this far, then thank you. I've never written a fanfiction before, so I appreciate support very much! I also just finished a new fanfic that is Victor/Olive romance. Of course I still ship Enolive, but I also ship Vic & Liv a little. Thx- Ravenclaw_llama.
Enoch's perspective:
I feel sort of bad for antagonizing Olive, I understand how scared she must be. I was scared when I first came too. I shouldn't have been mean to her, but her shyness was starting to get on my nerves. She was surprisingly nice and didn't even acknowledge the surgical tools or clay soldiers on my desk, as if they were pens and paper. I wonder if she knows any other dead-risers. Probably not. She could though, that's the only reason she could've been kind when I have such a creepy peculiarity. I wonder what her peculiarity is. Probably something beautiful. Her peculiarity is probably why she was wearing those gloves. I need to ask her that. And with that, I left to ask Olive about her peculiarity. I walked over to her door and knocked. She told me to come in, so I did.
Olive's perspective:
I was extremely surprised to see Enoch, that grouchy, arrogant, and kind of cute boy walking into my room. I was unpacking, so there was my box of letters, that was currently sealed shut, on my bed and all of the drawers open in my dresser. "I was just curious as to what your peculiarity is." Enoch stated. I lifted up my hands and spelled out GUESS in fire above my head. He just said "Oh. Okay, interesting." He sat on my bed and looked me over for a moment. Then he asked something that I wasn't expecting at all. "Can I see it?" He asked me.
Enoch's perspective:
I was curious about her peculiarity, yet I regretted asking the second the words left my lips. I just knew she'd get mad and refuse. But, instead, she took off her glove and an orange-red flame appeared, burning from her wrist to the tips of her fingers. "Wanna see something I've been working on?" Olive asked me. "Sure" I replied. She stood up. The flame crawled up her arm and, soon enough, her whole body was ignited! The fire died at once, but unlike I expected, her clothes didn't even have burn holes in them. "How do your clothes and everything stay intact?" I asked her, amazed. "I'm fireproof, it's part of my peculiarity. Whatever objects are touching a lot of my skin, like my clothes, become temporarily fireproof too." Olive stated kindly. "Oh" was all I said. We sat there in silence for some time before Miss Peregrine called to say dinner was ready.
Horace's perspective:
I noticed that when Enoch came down for dinner, he came down with Olive. I found that strange because he never was a very social person. I discovered that Olive was a kind, happy person, and that made me even more confused because Enoch hated bubbly, happy people. What was different with Olive? I wondered to myself.
After dinner, I projected my dream, like usual.
Miss Peregrine's perspective:
Horace was projecting his dreams, and it started out with another dream about clothes, but then the screen changed. On the screen was a little girl, about eleven or twelve years old. She didn't look familiar with her light brown hair, but you could see that she had the same vibrant green eyes and small frame as Olive. Then it hit me. Olive had a little sister. We didn't advertise it, but Horace's dreams could sometimes show the past. The little girl was standing in a forest when a single shard of metal whooshed towards her and tore through her back. An arrow. I told Horace to shut it down and I saw that Olive was fighting back tears. I guided her to my office and told the others it was time for bed. After about 45 minutes, Olive calmed down and went to bed.
