Jerome's pov
I sat at a red light, waiting for it to turn green. I turned on the radio to listen to some music, but all I could find was stations of people talking, so I just decided to listen to one and wait for the music to come on.
"So, this morning at 8:30am, The law passed for gay marriage to be illegal and same with PDA -" I turned the radio off. I felt tears sting my eyes than slowly fall down my cheek. My stomach dropped and my breathing got faster.
"What? This isn't possible! They can't just ban my love for someone! What the Hell are we going to do? I have to tell Mitch..." I thought as my heart beat sped up. I heard cars honking from behind me so I quickly pulled over to a parking lot for a thrift store.
I fumbled while taking out my phone, my hands shaking. Thoughts ran through my head at 1000mph. What am I going to say?
"Aye Biggums!" Mitch said in a cheery voice. Just the sound of his voice made my heart flutter. I stuttered trying to tell him the news.
"I... Radio... Illegal..." Is all I could say before bursting into tears. I heard Mitch try to calm me down.
"It's okay Jerome, Just tell me what happened baby!" He said. I took in a deep breath.
"I... I was listening to the radio and that where taking about how gay PDA was illegal. Same with gay Marriage." I said in a fast tone. I heard Mitch growl.
"Come home now Jerome..." He said with an angry voice. I quickly hung up and drove home.
