"Get down here you little...." screamed Donna Templeton-Noble from down the steps. "Chill it mom!" Courtney Templeton-Noble yelled back, just as loud as her mother, as she sat at her desk. "Come on Court, it's time for football." said her father, more calm then either of then. Nine years old, and sassy as ever, Courtney hated football. She described it as 'Just a checkered ball and some fishing net, put together with a bunch of daft players who would punch someone over a point'. Her birthday was in two weeks, and she knew that on her birthday, she would quit soccer. Her family had a tradition that, every year on her birthday, she would get to sign up for, and quit, any after-school activities she wanted, but would have to stick with her choices for the fallowing year. She was so upset withe herself for picking soccer, she would just about kill for a time machine. If she had one, she would either go forward in time, to her birthday so she didn't have to do soccer anymore, or go back in time and erase the whole terrible experience from happening in the first place. Yes, she was going to quit soccer and sign up for ballet.
The next month was a blur, seeing as her father died six days after her birthday. She had, as she had planned, quit football and sign up for ballet. Her father had wanted her to take voice lessons, because he loved her singing, but she refused. Now, only three days after her Sean Templeton's tragic death, Courtney was not focusing on ballet or voice lessons, she was focusing on the Doctor. She didn't know who the doctor was, but her father had said "No, no, the doctor who is treating me isn't the Doctor. We need the blue box Doctor!"At that point, Courtney had assumed, as did her cousin who was in the room with her, that this was just the medicines having an affect on his behavior, and it was a big surprise to everyone when just ten minutes later, he flat lined. Ever since then, Courtney was convinced that that this 'blue box Doctor meant something. She even had a notebook, with just those words written on the first page. The notebook was dark blue. Courtney Templeton-Noble was going to track down the Doctor.
