I glanced in the mirror trailing my eyes over my figure. It was probably silly to think about his thoughts of me. I just, I just couldn't help but wonder how his mind worked. Should he think me too skinny, maybe too fat? What if in his eyes I'm nothing but a dummy! I let out a heavy sigh and fell against my bed, why was I stressing over a guy I barley even knew?
A soft knock came outside my bedroom door, followed with a head. He smiled at me his gray strands of hair falling in his eyes and his slight wrinkles outlining his forehead. "Hey dad." I smirked.
He walked in and sat next to me on the bed I sat up and brought my knees to my chest. I stared down at my bedroom floor but I could feel his eyes watching me. I groaned "What is it dad?"
"I've never seen that outfit." He said.
I rolled my eyes and placed my left cheek on my knees, "That's because I bought it this afternoon." I could still feel him eyeing me with distaste.
"Dad, they're just clothes." I pushed myself off the bed and returned to my mirror. I tugged at the baby pink crop top and smoothened the fabric of its matching skirt.
"Maybe, but it's a little to revealing, don't you think?" He asked.
I glared at him in the mirror, "Dad, I'm just following trends, its not like I'm going to walk around in my underwear.
My dad let out a heavy sigh, " I just-"
"Dad don't worry, I'm going to be fine." I walked over to him and kissed his cheek. With sad eyes he watched me walk out my bedroom door. I quickly grabbed my keys and ran to my car.
I sat in the seat hand gripped around the wheel in nervousness. I checked myself in the rearview mirror and breathed in and out. Finally I pulled off.
I drove until I could see the cars next to each other by the mass. I parked further down and decided to walk the rest. The further I walked the louder the music came and then finally I was surrounded by booze, dancing bodies, and the buzzing wildness of the party.
As I walked through I could feel eyes on me. I passed by a snarky group of girls who mumbled under their breath. "Who brought the new girl?"
"She looks like a bubble gum pack."
"She tried way too fucking hard."
I rolled my eyes and walked faster. I went over to the liquor and grabbed a red cup filling it up halfway with beer. I looked down at the cup in thought before I sighed and put it down. I can't get drunk, how was I going to get home? I turned around to walk away but instead came face to chest with a guy.
"Sorry." I said and tried to maneuver around him. He blocked my path and stepped in front of me.
"So, sexy, why aren't you drinking?" He asked.
"Because I'm driving home." I folded my arms across my chest because his eyes kept wandering there. I glared at him and he smiled.
"You can just come home with me if things get out of hand." He stepped closer and I backed away.
"No, you have the wrong idea." I fumed. I reached and grabbed my abandoned drink that was on the table behind me and threw it in his face.
He shrunk back with surprise and I ran around him. I was so over this party. I was on my way out when someone grabbed my arm, "Hey!" I cried out.
"Where you off too so fast, Belle?"
My mouth dropped open when I saw you. You had on a black leather jacket and white t-shirt with distress jeans. You smirked at me and I blinked twice trying to make sure it was real.
