THE MALFUNCTION

In the future, building a machine isn't only a chore, but life threatening.  In order to create advanced devices, taking a life is required.  That's why  there's robots.  The robots do these jobs and break -or "die"- instantly after they complete their work due to explosions, falling from heights and burning.  Sometimes, these robots do malfunction, and are intelligent enough to refuse to do this work since they know it's dangerous, and will kill them.  These robots are deactivated immediately since they may become a threat.  But when 15 year old Drake Westie joins his dad at work with the robots, he helps an intelligent robot escape by accident, and hides it from his dad.  This robot could be a threat, or maybe not.  Signs point to yes.
