Magnus

"Have you heard anything from the clan"? Jace asks Alec. We had just arrived at Magnus's place. I looked around, Izzy was nowhere to be seen. Where did she go? We did get in a fight but that didn't mean that I wasn't worried about her. I sigh, maybe I should apologize, but its not my fault she's so jealous. I'll talk with her later and sort everything out, I think turning my attention back towards Alec and Jace.

"No, but we should hear from them soon, it hasn't been that long since the attack". Alec responds. Jace nods, he looks towards me.

"Clary, can we talk in the hall for a minute"? Jace asks. I nod and we head to the hallway. I look to him, waiting for him to speak.

"Clary, will you please say something"? He says, looking into my eyes.

"About"? I ask, crossing my arms. He sighs as he runs his hand through his hair, clearly frustrated.

"About us". He states.

"Jace, after everything that's happened I'm not sure if there even is an us". I say, looking down. He lifts my head with his hand so I cant help but to look at him.

"Clary, I know I've been harsh and distant towards you, but that was only because I couldn't control myself around you and when we found out that I was supposedly your 'brother' I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to, because I-". We get interrupted as Alec yells.

"Jace I need your help now"! Jace groans, he looks at me.

"We'll continue this later". He says and I nod. He heads off towards Alec. I slowly follow and gasp as I see the apartment completely trashed. I look to Alec and Jace.

"What happened"? Jace says.

"We were ambushed". Alec states.

"Valentine". Jace says, knowing exactly who was here.

"What would Valentine need from here"? I ask and Alec looks to me.

"Magnus, they took Magnus". Alec responds.

"Don't worry Alec, we'll get him back". Jace says and Alec nods.

"I know, we need to find Valentine, but we need backup first".

"We know the clan wont help, since Magnus is a Downworlder, but we might be able to get help from other Downworlders". Jace states.

"I could ask Simon for help". I say. Alec snorts and I raise an eyebrow.

"I don't think he will be much help". Alec says, smoothly.

"Why"? I ask, confused.

"Because he is a newborn".

"So.."?

"They aren't as trained as other vampires".

"Well fine, then how about you go ask Raphael, I'm sure he will help us". Alec looks skeptical.

"Alec we need help, and the vampires are a good place to start". Jaces states.

"Alright, ill gather the vampires, you two get the werewolves". Alec states, leaving the apartment. Jace looks towards me.

"Lets go". He says and I nod, following him.

We arrive at an abandoned Chinese restaurant, where Luke had said to meet. As we walk inside, I suddenly feel a little nervous. The whole werewolf clan was here, yes Luke was the alpha, but there were always some werewolves that broke the rules. Luke comes towards us. Slightly less intimated, Jace speaks.

"Luke, we need your help".

"I got the message, Valentine took Magnus". Jace and I both nod.

"Yes and we know the clan wont do anything about it, so we could really use your help Luke".

"Lets go then". Luke says, sending his pack out. We go outside, heading towards the docks, Valentine was last seen on one of the ships here. We meet Alec there, followed by the vampires, but still Izzy is nowhere to be seen.

"Where is Izzy"? Jace asks.

"I don't know, Raphael hasn't seen her either". Alec responds. Jace frowns, but nods and we slowly head towards the ship, our guard up. Quickly we're greeted by Valentines creations, also Shadow hunters, but not yet as skilled as us. Jace and Alec easily kill them. As we descend forward we spot Valentine.

"Go find Magnus, we'll take care of Valentine". Jace says, Alec nods and quickly leaves. Valentine spots us.

"Hello daughter, so nice of you to visit, I see you brought some friends with you". Valentine says, grinning wickedly. I glare at him, disgustedly. How dare he call me his daughter, he has never been there for me and with good reason. Luke is ten times the man he will ever be, he's been more a father to me then Valentine could ever be. He looks over to Jace.

"Jace, I see the secrets out, good for you". Jace glares at him, but says nothing. Luke looks to Jace, confused.

"Quiet stalling around Valentine, its time to end this". Jace says, coldly. Valentine laughs. He signals for his men to attack. We're soon surrounded, but his men are no match for us. One jumps in front of me and I quickly stab him with my knife. In the mist of all the commotion, no one sees Izzy as she stabs Valentine but misses, until we finish all of them off. Jace looks over to Izzy.

"Izzy watch out"! Jace yells, but its too late, Valentine stabs Izzy. We see Alec and Magnus come out of one of the ship doors. Alec looks towards Izzy horrified. He quickly runs to her.

"Izzy hold on, you'll be okay, Magnus will heal you". Alec says and Magnus kneels down.

"We have to get her back to my place, that's where all my things are". Magnus says. Even though his apartment did get trashed, he probably had his healing things hidden. Alec nods and they quickly leave, taking Izzy with them. Raphael follows, telling his clan to go back to Hotel Durmort. Once they are gone, we realize that Valentine is gone, nowhere to be seen.

"Damnit"! Jace yells, clearly frustrated.

"Its alright Jace, we'll get him next time". Luke says, trying to calm him down. Jace ignores him and walks past him, before he passes me, I put my hand on his arm.

"Jace wait". I plead, afraid he would search for Valentine alone. He knew how dangerous that could be, even knowing he could get himself killed, I knew that he didn't care in this moment.

"No Clary, he's done enough, its time to end this madness".

"Then let me come with you".

"No way, I'm not putting you in danger, not again".

"Enough, no one is going after Valentine alone. Jace my pack and I will go after him, its safer that way, you take Clary back to Magnus's". Luke commands. Jace glares at him, probably debating on whether or not he should challenge him, but knowing that Luke was twice as strong as him, he decided against it. Jace starts walking, not saying another word. I sigh and follow him. After walking sometime I look to Jace.

"They'll get him Jace". I say.

"I doubt it, we all know how fast he can disappear". I say nothing more, not wanting to fight. We head upstairs towards Magnus's apartment. Before we walk inside Jace stops me. I look at him, confused.

"Can we continue our discussion from earlier"? He asks, obviously nervous.

"Right now?, Jace its really not the right time". I say.

"You're right, but later"? He says and I nod. As we head inside I gasp.

"Mother"?
