Tom often skipped school. His parents were never home. Or paying attention to him. So what's it matter than?
He was sitting at his desk, drawing a boy. The boy next door.
They never talked, the boy often stayed inside. They were connected apartments, so very little windows.
Tom noticed a piece of paper in his vent.
"What is this." He said, in a tired tone.
On the paper read:
Hello, neighbor. My name is Tord. The boy with headphones in, pastel sweaters, and spikey hair. I looked up information on these apartments and I saw someone mention the rooms in the middle had a connected vent, for like letters. Aha, I always wondered why my vent didn't work. Anyways, I live with my mum and my brother. If you'd like, maybe our guardians could meet, and we could be friends.
Send a note back, TordTom looked at it in confusion. He didn't want to write it now, so he just went to sleep.
The morning when Tom woke up, he just slammed stuff on a paper.
Dear Tord, I would like to meet you, why don't you come over for breakfast at 9?
From, Tom.He pushed the note through, then noticed.
He wasn't ready for people to come over.
The house was a mess.
He was a mess.
He wasn't ready.
He quickly started to clean up, and he showered. He started to make pancakes until he heard a knock.
"Welcome." Tom said.
The boy was absolutely beautiful.
His tan-gold hair.
His headphones around his neck, his pastel pink sweater, his silver studs.
There was too much to list.
"Hi... Tom?" Tord asked.
"Yes, the name's Tom... Nice to meet you."
"Glad to meet you too."
Tom looked into his hazel eyes, and thought how beautiful his voice was also.
"Let's get to know each other." Tord said, leaning across the table.
"Uh- I can play guitar. I-i am not very good, but I can and I can sing with the guitar al-" Tom stuttered.
"Can I hear?" Tord asked.
"S- sure" Tom said as he went upstairs to get it.
He came down and started singing and playing.
He strummed.
"Only fools fall for you, only fools." Tord stared into his eyes, amazed.
"Only fools, do what I do. Only fools fall. Only fools fall for you, only fools. Only fools, do what I do, only fools fall." Tom smiled at Tord, who was smiling lovingly.
"Well Tom, you seem amazing. But I think it's time for me to go." Tord said, making a sad face.
"Aw, I hope to see you again." Tom said back.
"Thanks for the breakfast!" Tord exclaimed while Tom replied "thanks for being company!"
