The clock was past 11 when we arrived at Bollywood Brasserie. As expected, Jesy and Leigh-Anne had already arrived.

They were wearing pretty similar outfits- leather jacket, light-coloured tops, ripped jeans and knee high boots.

Compared to me and Pez, they looked like they were ready for a night in town whereas Pez with her red tank top and dark blue denim shorts, and me with my blue checkered shirt and white denim shorts, looked like we were ready for a nice walk in the park.

"Look who's here. About time you two showed up" Leigh-Anne said with a smirk.

"Someone happens to be in a serious relationship with her bed, therefore the delay" I said, teasing my girlfriend.

"That's nothing new. Great to see you, by the way" Jesy smiled.

We sat down opposite our friends. Having an empty stomach since I didn't eat when I woke up due to this brunch date, I was eager to look through the menu to see what they offered here.

Skimming through the menu I could tell Perrie and I would come back here in the near future. There were so many things off the menu I would want to try, but couldn't because you can't have breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert in one sitting.

A waitress approached our table a few minutes later, smiling from ear to ear as she made eye contact with us.

"Have you decided what you want to eat?" She asked politely.

"Chicken salad and Fiji water for me and me girl, and a cheesy breakfast boat and breakfast punch for our friends" I replied kindly.

"Anything else?" The waitress asked, still very polite in her tone.

"No, we're good" Leigh-Anne smiled.

"The food will arrive in fifteen minutes."

After the waitress finished her sentence, she headed towards the kitchen to give the chefs our order.

While waiting Perrie poured herself a glass of water. I locked eyes with my partner, had some unfinished business I wanted to discuss before we got too caught up in the food that would arrive pretty soon.

"You owe me an explanation, Jessica Louise Nelson" I began seriously.

"An explanation? Why?" Jesy asked, confused.

"One: you never told me what happened between you and Zac when he drove you home after the boat accident. Two: you brought him with you to the dinner date last Friday" I said.

Jesy sighed deeply. I could tell she didn't wanna talk about her and Zac, and I respected that, but at the same time I was curious what was going on between them.

It wasn't very often Jesy got involved with a guy romantically, so when it happened, it was a big deal for the both of us.

"Here's the thing, Jade, after Zac took me home he fixed my faucet because it was leaking, then I asked him to join me for coffee, as a thanks for fixing my faucet. He agreed, so we sat on my balcony, drank our coffee and talked. That's it" Jesy said.

"I don't believe you" I said, challenging her.

"Why is it so important to you to know what we did?" She asked.

"Maybe because you haven't dated anyone since Chris used you to get back with his ex" I said calmly.

Something similar to hatred flashed in her eyes. She clenched her fists, she clenched them so tight the knuckles turned white.

"I shouldn't have mentioned him. I'm sorry, Jesy" I said, sincerity lacing my voice.

"It's fine, Jadey, I'm over that jerk" Jesy said tenderly.
