Imizo woke up later in the day than she normally did. Hizashi had already left for UA leaving Imizo to take the train. Not that she despised the train or anything. No, it was nothing of the such, she just hated being late. Though technically she had plenty of time before class, she considered herself late nonetheless. Imizo scurried quickly along through her morning routine, quickly changing into the school uniform and brushing her teeth.
As Imizo pulled her hair into her signature half bun, she looked herself over once more. She had to admit, she admired the school uniform, certainly more than her previous white and pink uniform, though the skirt was quite short. Imizo slid leggings on underneath her skirt, despite the heat she felt much more comfortable with the leggings.
Hastily, Imizo gathered her textbooks into her backpack and grabbed the toast Hizashi left on the island for the girl as she left the apartment. It wasn't a long walk to the train station, Hizashi made sure his apartment was close to the most populated areas so his hero work could stay in use. His agency was in between the station and the two's apartment. Imizo passed the familiar building - which acted as a second home most times - with a pep in her step. She couldn't wait for the day she could have her own agency, and make Hizashi proud.
Imizo boarded the train and found herself approaching UA in no time. However, she was distraught when she noticed a horde outside the big gates of UA. Reporters. How detestable. Imizo made her way towards the crowd and quickly had a microphone shoved in her face.
"How is it having All Might as a teacher?" The reporter queried in Imizo's face.
The girl simply stared absently at the reporter, her gold eyes sharp and steady. The reporter gave a quick squinted look before a realization fell upon her.
"You're... The Koriya girl aren't you?" She asked carefully. When Imizo's eyes sharpened, the reporter smirked, "Koriya Imizo, daughter of the once renown hero Koriya Ryu but now turned villain. He killed his own wife and it was thought for quite some time his only daughter until it was discovered she lived and was adopted by pro heroes! So you're studying to be a hero-"
Imizo cut the woman reporter off with a nasty glare. Her glazed held a pain and rage that could freeze Hell over. Twice.
"I'd rather not have to ask you twice to please not speak of that man. He is no father of mine," Imizo stated coldly before she walked past the reporter and shoved through the crowd.
Imizo had not realized that a pair of typically energetic teens were within hearing distance of this interaction. They pushed quickly through the crowd as Aizawa had come out to dismiss the reporters. The last of the students had just barely made it inside when the reporter who dealt with Imizo tried to run inside the gates. In turn, the gates beeped loudly and quickly sealed shut, two metal doors slamming into one another.
Aizawa looked ahead to see Imizo with tense shoulders and a seething anger in her gold eyes. The topic of her father was sensitive enough but more so when it mentioned her directly. She was not her father, and she knew nothing of her mother - birth or Yuka. As Aizawa set his pace to catch up with the girl, he noticed two of her peers appear on either side of her.
"Good morning, Koriya!" Hinata smiled gently.
"I'm super excited for today, it's only been a few days since we've started but I can't get over this excitement of actually being in UA," Kirishima cheered.
Imizo glanced out of the corner of her eye, the once chilling glare having mellowed to her typical indifference. Her shoulders relaxed as Hinata shouted an agreement with Kirishima.
"You two are far too energetic for this time of day," Imizo stated as if it were a fact as she looked forward.
Both kids laughed loudly and Imizo's eyes sparkled a little more than normal. Aizawa watched with a look of disinterest but a wave of relief crashed through him. Imizo had been under the care of heroes since she was rescued. Mic couldn't bare the thought of releasing the small and damaged girl to the foster system and instead insisted on raising her. She had been a frightened little thing then, unsure of everything and permanently afraid.
