Chapter 2: The "Truth"

Gilga: "My name is Gilga. And I am a 'Truthseeker'."

Renji: "Truthseeker?"

Gilga: "And you are one as well."

Renji: "What?!"

Chapter 2: The "Truth"

Renji: "What do you mean by that?"

Gilga: "Just as I said, you are the same as me, a Truthseeker."

Renji: "I don't get you. What is a Truthseeker? And what do you mean I'm also one?"

Gilga: [sigh] "Truthseekers are chosen humans who are gifted with powers that no other normal humans have. You could say it's an inborn gift from Him."

Renji: [Puzzled] "So you're saying that I'm not human anymore?"

Gilga: "No. You're just not 'normal' human anymore."

Renji: "Right... So, why are there Truthseekers? What's their purpose?"

Gilga: "They are not just here to protect the people from danger, but also to protect 'that' power."

Renji: "Power? What are you talking about?"

Gilga: "What the monsters were after wasn't only you but also the Universal ball of power, we named it the 'Truth'."

Renji: "Universal power..."

Gilga: "For centuries, truthseekers have been protecting the Truth from foreign threats. Those monsters were after it's universal power. Once one obtains such a thing, it will become an immortal being that can even compare to God himself."

Renji: "Such a thing even exist in this world..."

Gilga: "Now you know... By the way, you're a 3rd generation Truthseeker. Be proud."

Renji: "What do you mean 3rd generation?"

Gilga: "The first set of truthseekers were about 5 centuries ago. The next generation was a century ago. And now, it's the 3rd generation."

Renji: "Aren't you also a 3rd generation truthseeker?"

Gilga: "Unfortunately, I'm not."

Renji: "What? But you said you were a truthseeker. Aren't you?"

Gilga: "Yes, but not of this generation."

Renji: "Wait... You're from the last generation?"

Gilga: "Bingo."

Renji: "What?! But how come you're still alive? Are truthseekers immortal?"

Gilga: "No. This is just an astral body."

Renji: "A what?" [" O.O "]

Gilga: "My real body has already died. This is just an astral body. I recreated a body for myself."

Renji: "Recreated?"

Gilga: "That's the gift i was given as a truthseeker. I can recreate anything that i remember and seen, even if it's just once."

Renji: "Recreate something from memory... That's something..."

Gilga: "Yeah. And you're one as well."

Renji: "I see. But how come I never knew about this before? I mean didn't my parents know that I'm a truthseeker?"

Gilga: "That's because they don't know about these things. Only truthseekers alike know their existence. Normal people usually don't know anything about it, nor do they have the knowledge to know such things."

Renji: "So, if I'm also a truthseeker, what gift did I receive or what power do I have?"

Gilga: "Your powers are yet to awaken. You just have to be patient and wait until it comes to you."

Renji: "Awaken, huh?..."

Gilga: "The initial awakening of truthseekers start after their 15th birthday. Have you felt something strange during your birthday or after it?"

Renji: "Now that you mention it, I did feel something different about me during my birthday. It feels like something woke up inside me, trying to take over me. The same happened recently after my birthday. Kaze didn't even tell me what was happening to my body."

Gilga: "I see. You got acquainted with Kaze. No wonder you were transferred back here with that magic circle."

Renji: "Wait, you know Kaze?"

Gilga: "Yup. He's a 2nd generation truthseeker just like me."

Renji: "No wonder he was strong. I guess all those training he gave me wasn't for nothing after all."

Gilga: "That guy, he never cease to give up on his sense of justice."

Renji: "He always believed what is right and believed that there is a bright future for all. I respect him for that."

Gilga: "Anyway, I guess this is the end of today."

Renji: "I guess..."

      The night ended with a clear sky with numerous stars and a full moon.

~The Next Morning~

      The day was bright with sunlight and a clear sky. {Alarm Clock Ringing}

Renji: [Stops alarm] "A dream..."

      As he goes downstairs to the dining room...

Gilga: "Yo. Mornin'!"

Renji: "Not..."

Gilga: "I guess this is it. Good Night, little boy."

Renji: "Don't call me that! I have a name, you know."

Gilga: "That's a drag. What about little puppy then?"

Renji: "That's even worse!" [" =.='' "]

Gilga: "Alright, it's little puppy then."

Renji: "Aagh! Whatever. Just do what you want!"

Gilga: "I always do."

Renji: "..." [" =='' "] "Anyway, where are you going after this?"

Gilga: "I'm going to look for a place to stay. Isn't it obvious?"

Renji: "Well, since you've helped me, I guess you could stay at my place tonight."

Gilga: "I see. Alright, I'll accept your offer little puppy."

Renji: "Quit calling me that!!"

Gilga: "But you said I can do whatever I want."

Renji: "....."
