             Jihyo had asked you out years ago, during university and moving in had been your idea last year. You fought with one another occasionally but you always forgave each other, Jihyo never leaving your side.

              Jihyo and you had fought the previous night over something you both knew was ridiculous yet neither of you would apologise for it and had threatened to break up, you launching your phone across the room at Jihyo, terrifying her and causing her to sleep on the sofa. You had felt a little guilty and so formulated a plan in your head to apologise to her for your burst of violence.

               You fully expected her to leave but she was there in the morning sitting watching the news, coffee made for you on the counter as she ignored your presence in the room.

            "Jihyo I'm..."

          "Don't." Jihyo snapped, not even looking at you.

       "Okay. We don't have to talk but please just stay."

             You were scared she might leave and you weren't sure what you would do if she did. You couldn't imagine not being with Jihyo and you hoped she felt the same.

        "Please?"

               You hadn't ever been with someone as caring as Jihyo, your ex's selfish and horrible, Jihyo finding you endearing as you insisted to carry the groceries up the flights of stairs instead of taking the lift and her singing you to sleep.

            "I'm not leaving. I'll stay. Go do whatever you want." Jihyo was very hurt and you wanted to fix that as soon as possible.

             You nodded and left the room, finishing your coffee and grabbing your purse, leaving the house. You had to fix this. Jihyo was the best thing that had happened to you and you weren't going to let years of your relationship be ruined by a petty fight that both of you were too stubborn to apologise for. You had to stay with each other.

             You returned later that afternoon, Jihyo still on the sofa but now asleep. You pursed your lips, upset you let your temper get the best of you. You sat at the edge of the corner sofa and pulled out the ukulele you had purchased this morning and started to strum it waking Jihyo.

          "You took the time to memorise me, my fears, my hopes and dreams, I just liked hanging out with you," You weren't great at either the singing or the ukukele playing but Jihyo and sat up a little, slouched into the corner angled towards you, "all the time~"

          "All those times that you didn't leave it's been occurring to me I'd like to hang out with you," Jihyo was smiling brightly, eyes a little teary, "for my whole life~"

       "Stay." Jihyo wiped a tear off her cheek.

            "Yeah I've been lovin' you for quite some time." Jihyo was grinning now.        
       
            "No one else is gonna love me when I get mad mad mad." Jihyo laughed as you sang, you giggling as you said the line.

            "So I think that it's best if we both stay, stay, stay stay stay stay." You played the song on the music system now and got up with Jihyo and embraced as the song continued, Jihyo and you dancing and singing along before Jihyo stopped both of you.

"I love you pabo." Jihyo smiled forgivingly, kissing you, your foreheads pressed together once you finished. You giggled with her. "You'll need a new phone."

You were in each other’s arms, swaying. You scoffed at her remark.

"I love you too."
