Dan was sitting on an park Bench waiting for phil to arrive, he was really nervous... he wanted to tell phil something yesterday but he backed out.... what if he reacted badly and wanted to run away and leave....
He decided that he would see how today went and would maybe tell phil tomorrow....
Dan sat there scrolling through his phone, he felt someone staring at him... he looked up slowly ... that's when he seen phil...
He got up and stared at the black haired boy as he walked towards him, as phil neared, dan could smell the sweet maple syrup cent of his cologne.
He took in the fact that phil was currently standing in front of him, he took a big breath in and out...
H..hey .... dan says nervously scratching the back of his head
Phil leaped in grabbing dan in a tight warm embrace. He was tense at first but calmed at the touch of Phils hands stroking his back...
Dan Reached his arms around Phils torso and leaned him head in the crook of him neck.
"Hey" phil says smiling.
They release each other from the hug and start walking around the park.
They walked on for a while talking about each other's live.

At around 11 am the boys decided to go and get some ice cream... even tho it was freezing.... but it's never to cold for ice cream....
They walked a few blocks until they reached the nearest ice cream parlour, they walked in and dan ran straight to the flavours scanning them like an 6 year old child.
Phil smiled at the sight of dan running around trying to choose an flavour....
In the end phil ended up getting an cookies and cream flavoured one while dan got multiple different flavours.. phil even thought that he ended up getting bits of ever single one.
They walked over to an booth near the window and sat down opposite each other, they sat there for hours on end ordering coffees and thick shakes Every now and then...

4 hours later and it was around 4 o'clock.
The boys ended up walking to the duck pond with a loaf of bread they bought at the local bakery.
They were both standing on the jetty throwing pieces of bread at the ducks, dan thought it would be funny to through a whole slice of bread. The ducks ended up fighting over it so that through the entire loaf in and ran before something bad happened..
They ran away laughing at their actions, phil went over to a park bench sitting down while dan sat down nest to him putting his hand on Phils thigh.
Phil shivered at the touch of dans hand and looked at it then at dan and smiled putting his hand over his squeezing it ever so slightly...
They sat there in a comfortable silence as they watched the kids play around with each other it was peaceful. Perfect. Everything they could ever asked for.

Dan got an message from his mum telling him to start making his way back home.
He sighed at the message and put his phone away in his pocket.
"I ... I have to go " dan says sadly.
" it's okay dan, I should start heading back anyways I have work at 5"
"You sure?" Dan says as he stands up adjusting his clothes
" yeah it's okay" phil says reassuring dan that it was in fact okay.
They hug each other goodbye and head of on their own ways.
Phil smiles at himself as he gets in his car. He plugs in his seat belt and heads off down the street.
