I sat there in bed listening to my mom and that fool Eric yelling about lord knows what. I'm so sick of it. I was texting my boyfriend Brandon when o heard the front door close. I knew it was Trevon he was always coming in late. All i hear is mom yelling at him.
Mom: where were YOU! ITS TWELVE AND A. SCHOOL NIGHT YOU OUT IN THE STREETS LIKE YOU GROWN!!!
Trevon: ma can you please not start this.
Mom: THIS IS JUST LIKE COMPTON STAYING OUT LATE ATTITUDES !
Trevon: oh my god i aint got time for this!

We got in the bed and turned the lights off. I put my tinkerbell nightlight on because I have this thing about sleeping in the dark dont judge me. I slowed my eyes and put my headphones in to block out mom and Eric's arguing.

I was running down the street with the cops right on our tails. My legs were running as fast as they could.
