Lady Agnes had been too deep in thought , sitting cross legged on her meditating rug in her chambers, when the windows started rattling rapidly.

If one had a look beyond the medium sized mahogany windows, one would see the blanket of darkness engulfing the night sky like a thick black mist ,and would hear the roaring of the wind that's taunting and threatening to swallow everything that would dare to cross its path.

Usually lady Agnes wouldn't have minded the darkness. She's a supreme witch after all, The head of all the witches in the world. The title that she took pride in, and the very same title due to which all the witches and warlocks in the world would fear her, respect her and above all , worship her.

Agnes slowly opened her eyes and observed the rattling windows that looked like they would fall off their hinges any minute. Suddenly her ears caught on to the sound of a faint howl that seemed very far away , in an otherwise quiet night . she's aware of an upcoming storm that all the newspapers had warned the citizens about that evening . The weather reporter had warned people to stay indoors till the storm subsides.

They said this storm is likely to bring huge destruction. But now looking at the mist that weirdly enough seemed like it's mocking her from a distance , Agnes is pretty sure that this storm was going to bring much more than destruction. This is simply put, the eerie calm that came before the storm.

She could feel the shift in the air and for the first time the night has made her feel uneasy. Her hand slowly reached up and fisted the silver pendant that rested on her chest . It was a medium sized pendant of Hecate ,the goddess of witchcraft . if you look closely , you can notice how the goddess had three heads that were decorated with little green gem stones and that she is holding a burning torch in each hand.

Agnes shook her head slightly, to get rid of the trance she seemed to be pulled into. Her goddess is the personification of night and the mother of all witches. Being Hecates's chosen supreme witch for almost 200 years, it is ridiculous to be afraid of something as silly as a storm. Nothing could happen to her , at least not until she serves her purpose to help the werewolf clan .

she took a deep breathe with new found determination. She has to help the werewolf clan. She would do everything in her power to protect the secret that the goddess has chosen her to protect .

Each and every witch and warlock had to go through an affinity spell once they start showing certain signs. This spell would always reveal their area of expertise in the sorcery world.

Agnes remembered the day she had taken the affinity spell , she was given the title 'the death's guardian'. Her affinity is something very powerful and rare , and people started calling her as the Death Dealer. Her affinity had been one of the reasons why back then the council had summoned her and offered her to be the next supreme witch after lady Catelyn.

Agnes smiled ruefully. She is called as the Death Dealer for a reason, her affinity would never get the better of her. There was nothing to be scared of. It is a storm like any other . It is unwise to pay heed to it .

Agnes got up from the rug and headed towards a dark wooden cabinet where all her supplies essential for witchcraft were kept . Maybe if she could just do a small protection spell her uneasiness would subside .

With this thought in mind she opened the door and took out two sacred sage sticks. She placed them on the table and took a handful of moonlight soaked quartz crystals and four white honey scented candles for purification, representing north , south ,east and west.
