(y/n)'s POV:
I smiled and waved at Mark as the teacher welcomed him to class and explained what was happening. A small giggle escaped my lips as Mark looked completely overwhelmed and confused. After a while our teacher noticed and spoke to Mark in English, probably then realizing Mark still struggled with his Korean. However, Mark's overwhelmed expression remained as our teacher told him that he would help with grading our projects. All of the students stared at Mark as he took his seat and pulled out a pencil so he could fill out all the rubrics our teacher gave him. I could feel Taehyung's anger as Mark looked up to give me a quick smile. What was wrong with him? Why did he hate Mark so much?

Taehyung and I soon began our presentation and I was very happy with how well Taehyung now spoke his sentences. He must have practiced so much, a smile formed on my face as I heard his carefully practiced sentences. Taehyung did, however, have a very adorable, thick accent which resulted in a few giggles from me and Mark. Once our presentation was done, Taehyung and I bowed in front of the class, thanking them for listening. But before I could turn to grab our posters, Taehyung wrapped his arm around my shoulders and tightly held me, preventing me from walking away.

[E] "(y/n) is my girlfriend." Taehyung beamed as a blush quickly took over my face.

Half of the class turned into an uproar, the other half probably did not understand what Taehyung said. I couldn't see anything as I covered my face with my hands. Why was Taehyung like this? He promised he wouldn't say that! He knew what that meant! I peeked up to see Mark, looking more confused than before. I wanted to just hide. Mark clearly understood that statement. He even asked me if I was dating Taehyung the other day! I'm not! We aren't a couple! Why is Taehyung like this?

As Taehyung led me back to our desks, with his arm around my shoulders and my face covered with my hands, I heard many of the students now gossiping. The ones who understood Taehyung's final sentence explained to the students who didn't understand and now the whole room was shaking. Everyone was doing the stupid, typical sounds and phrases when they heard people were dating. The room was especially loud since everyone thought Taehyung and I were soulmates. I could tell the whole class was still so shocked as the next group of students went up to present. I slouched in my seat, hardly paying attention. I was so embarrassed and upset. Why did Taehyung decide to say that?

When the bell rang for lunch, I practically ran away from the class, especially Taehyung. I didn't want to deal with them. Taehyung and I weren't dating. Yes, I thought Taehyung was adorable, handsome, and really cute. Yes, I kind of hoped he really was my soulmate. But this was so embarrassing! Once I was inside the cafeteria, I found the most isolated and hidden spot and sat down. What was I supposed to do now? How could I fix this mess? I hid my face under my arms as I slouched on the table. I had no idea how to react or anything. Taehyung already confessed that he liked me. But then he told me to forget about it. And now he told the whole class we were dating! I rested my head on the table, he was impossible to understand. I shut my eyes, I wish I could just disappear and never have to deal with this again.

[E] "Excuse me, (y/n)?" I looked up to see Mark smiling while holding a lunch tray. His smiling face seemed to just erase all the worries and issues that Taehyung created. "Can I sit with you?"
[E] "Of course!" I smiled as I sat up straight. "How's your first day been so far?"
[E] "Interesting." Mark paused, taking a sip of his water. I could tell he wanted to say more but stopped himself, most likely deciding it would be better if he didn't mention Taehyung.
[E] "Have you made any other friends?" I asked although I already knew the answer. My heart ached slightly for Mark, I felt so bad for him. It must be so hard with the language barrier.
[E] "It's too hard." He sighed, running his non-broken hand through his dirty blond hair.
[E] "Well, I'll always be here for you to hangout with." I smiled, hoping to make him feel more comfortable in the new school.
[E] "Thanks." He laughed, making me feel better before I pout formed on my face as Mark kept talking. "But I think your Taehyung would be mad at me." I cringed at the way Mark said your Taehyung.
[E] "I already told you, Taehyung and I aren't dating." I sighed, putting my head back down on the table.
[E] "I know but still." Mark sighed, "He hates me."
[E] "Well then he'll just have to deal with our friendship." I lightly smiled at Mark, "We are friends too, right?"
[E] "Yup." He smiled back, before sadly looking at me. "By the way, why aren't you eating?"
[E] "Don't worry about it." I pushed away his lunch tray, still with his untouched soup, as he inched it towards me. "Eat your food."
[E] "Of course I'll worry." He softly spoke while mixing the soup, avoiding looking at me. "You're my only friend."
[E] "T-Thanks." I stuttered, immediately embarrassed.
[E] "After school today, meet me at the front gate." Mark said, more like a command than a question, before he began to eat his soup.

I simply nodded in response, there was something about Mark, different from Taehyung, that also made my heart beat at a rapid pace. Although both boys had the ability to easily make me embarrassed but, Mark's comments and actions were much more innocent, as if he didn't mean anything by it. Mark was much more peaceful in comparison to Taehyung, who just assaulted my heart and feelings with no mercy.

Taehyung's POV:
I felt sad and rejected as (y/n) ignored me for the rest of the day and ran out of the classroom as soon as the bell rang for lunch. I could feel everyone's confused and judgemental glares as I sat at my usual table, alone, waiting for the rest of BTS. I could hear their questions ringing in my ears; Where is (y/n)? Why isn't she sitting with you? I just slouched in my seat, she liked me, right? As I sat there, absorbed in all my worries, the rest of BTS slowly began to sit around me.

"V, you alright?" Jin immediately asked, probably noticing my sad mood. "Where's your food? What's wrong now?"
"He pulled quite the stunt today during presentations." Jungkook laughed, sitting next to me.
"What did he do this time?" Jimin giggled as he sat down and passed me the small bag of chips on the edge of his lunch tray, "Here have these."
"He called (y/n) his girlfriend." Jungkook and everyone who was already at the table began laughing as he continued, "In front of the whole class too."
"Is that why (y/n) isn't sitting with us today?" Suga, who just walked in on the conversation, sat down next to me.
"Hey!" J-Hope walked behind Jin, to get to the next seat, while motioning to the other side of the room. "Did you know, that Tuan kid is here now?"
"I know." I finally started speaking, but in more of an aggressive tone. "I saw him walk in this morning. He's even in my class."
"That's why you called (y/n) your girlfriend after your presentation?" Jungkook asked as the rest of BTS finally sat down at the table.
"You what?" J-Hope and Rap Monster chorused at the same time, not hearing the information until now.
"He's jealous of Tuan Mark!" Jimin laughed, "Mark's taking (y/n) away from V."
"He's not taking her from me." I growled, folding my arms. "There's no way she could like that stupid kid."
"How do you know that?" Jin curiously looked at me before stuffing his face with noodles.
"It's not like you know for sure if you guys are soulmates." Rap Monster added as he scooped up some rice with his spoon.
"Well, I do know that I love her." I paused, shaking any worries of (y/n) liking Mark out of my head. "And I'm determined to make her love me back."
