Maul awoke. Another bad dream. He'd been having them for months now. He would've told Lord Sidious by now except he probably wouldn't care or Maul would end up with a long lecture on force visions. So he decided a quick training battle wouldn't hurt anyone, except for the droids of course.
He ran down to the training room silently so as to not to wake Darth Sidious.
Once to the training room he opened the door. It was pitch black. It didn't matter to him though. He had been down there so many times he had the place memorized. He could imagine all the statues of famous, or infamous, Sith lords, columns, black stone roof and floor, and finally the reason he was here. The training module. It wasn't all that impressive. All it was was this big durasteel circle in the middle of the room that would give you different difficulty droids to fight. Of course at Sidious' command all were programmed to kill him. So Maul always put them on the second hardest level but tonight Maul felt like dying, so he put them on the hardest level.
For some reason the droids were taking extremely long to come up, or maybe it was the fact that Maul hadn't finished his lightsaber and he didn't feel comfortable with a single bladed lightsaber so he knew he would die. Niman and Juyo were always hard with a single blade. Of course he was studying all seven forms but those were his favorite.
Once they finally came up the fun began.
