(Sorry if you don't understand metaphors. There are going to be a couple at most here... Again sorry.)

Dan's POV

I was terrified. 'What would they think of me?' It was all I could keep in my head as I summoned the flames in my hand, walking towards the charcoal to set it ablaze.

I had a talk with the Head Master, Mr. Alford. He said that he knew my element, and he was right. He said all the evidence, also explaining it, as to why. As well as he had been doing his job for years and he has never "sensed" anyone like he did me.

He said I had an aura of light, something that no one else had. It shocked me not because I wasn't the only one seeing it (opposed to earlier thought!, but because he could feel I was a fire "elementer," as they called it.

I saw the looks of many people, stared wide-eyed, with shocked expressions as they watched my hand.

I looked down at it, regretting my choice of agreeing to show my element. I didn't know they would be this surprised.

"Is it..?"
"No way."
"Can it be?"
"Blood spill's coming."
"Fire?"
"How?"
"No. No no no no."

Then one that stood out. More like a mumble than anything, as I was just barely able to hear.

"Look at Phil. He seems so genuinely excited, he is actually smiling like one of those people you always talk about*. I can't believe this, is it what it looks like?"

My hand had long touched the charcoal and was in the middle of a fire. I had been in a trance-like state* for so long that I didn't realize people going crazy around me.

And then my hands were cold. A freezing cold, that seeps down to your veins and goes through your blood, freezing your entire body in the matter of minutes.

I had snapped out of my head* and noticed that Phil's hands were raised, as if reaching out. And then I noticed the liquid feeling on my hands. 'Must've put the fire out.'

A hand suddenly waved in my face, grasping for my attention. "Hu[n]h?" I hummed my question, sounding more like a chocking sound than what I was trying to do.

I started walking away from the now blackened coal and went beside the head master, my head down in shame. 'Maybe I shouldn't have said anything and denied my willingness to–"

And I heard a clap, then another, and then another, from four different people. And, I knew who these people were without looking up.

'They were Chris, Pj, Louise, and finally–'

I had looked up, as there was a loud and short bang interrupting my thought process. I smelled metal, as if smelling a rusted coin, which confused me.

Soon, I turned around. What I saw will haunt me forever. And soon, I black out.

================= <-----------(my first pov switch of all the chapters without it being because of a different chapter... Yay.)

???
I saw him fall. It wasn't really a pleasant feeling, and me being and air elementer couldn't get close, and none of the earth elementers got near him.
But one person did.
They are a water elementer, meaning, it could've been any of them. It could've been someone breaking a rule* and taking matters in their own hands or it would've been the person they took trust in to make sure everything was okay, and it was the later.
So the droplet of water* ran up and caught the slightly smaller flame*, as of having hopes to get everyone calm and collected. No one knew if they could help. Everyone was acting as if Dan was the most valuable person ever, and truly, in an Elementer's case, he is.
The flame was put on the ground, and people noticed his weak breathing. Only a water element could've gotten near, or if the droplet of water could call someone else over.
"Head master. Don't. Look. Behind. You."

(Legit I decided to have a dictionary Oml sorry)

"One of those people you always talk about..."- as of being referenced to the smile, it's over-emphasizing his smile. It's as if to rival a famous creepypasta's largely carved one. (This is a reference to the creepypasta Jeff the Killer.)

"Trance- like state..."- a state of mind in which you seem to be distracted while thinking, though you are just blindly staring off without thinking of anything.

"Snapped out of my head."- referring to he was too "caught up" in his thoughts, getting distracted by them.

"Rule"- I know you know what a rule is, but not what these rules are. These rules consist of "Have complete trust in the person you chose to make the reversal", or "You can't see the outside world until someone declares war if you're a year-rounder."

"Droplet of water" and "flame"- droplet of water is referring to Phil and Flame refers to Dan.
