Shot 4- Ladynoir

    AUTHORS NOTE: This Shot is based on the comic attached to this chapter. I tried to be as accurate as possible, so forgive me for any errors.

     "What were you doing?! We had him and you let him get away!" Ladybug storms up to Chat, livid. "Hey, are you even listening to me?!"
     Chat turns, as he exhales, "You're right, I messed up. I'm sorry." His eyes grew glassy and he turned away again, his face emotionless; he didn't want his lady to see the conflicting emotions on his face. On one hand he was happy he had run; he could never had hurt his father; on the other, guilt and sadness at the prospect of his father being his worst enemy.
     Ladybug turns and appraises his response, humming, "Fine. It was shocking, I guess." The view from on top of the roof was stunning, and she turned to stare at the Eiffel Tower, lit up with the return of darkness on the land. "I just never expected Gabriel Agreste would be Hawk-Moth."
"Me either," Chat mumbled awkwardly, looking away.
"Riddle for you, Chat," she continues, "How does a man who already has everything he could ever want become a super villain? I don't get it."
"He doesn't have everything." Ladybug heard a voice whisper from
the other side of the roof. "Hm?"
"He lost his wife," Chat's small voice, underneath the weight of the darkness, pressed through. "A few years ago. I think it may have broken him." His body started to shake, his ears flat against his head, every sign of him playing the part of a scared kitty, nothing like his usual outgoing persona. "But no one noticed; not even his son. If only Adrien had paid more attention..." Chat but his lip and looked down guiltily. "All of this is his fault."
"Stop that," Ladybug reprimanded, eyes flashing. "You know better than to arbitrarily assign blame to someone who you've never even-"
"Ladybug." Chat glanced over, tears leaking softly out of his eyes. "I think all of this is my fault.
