CHAPTER TWO.
THE RUSTY BLUE TRUCK
"WHOA, THATS JASONS NUMBER" A VOICE SAID STARTLING THE GINGER HAIRED BOY. LAWSON WAS INTRIGUED BY JASON BLOSSOMS JERSEY IN HIS HAND."Oh hey Lawson" Archie smiled out.
Archie had rarely talked to his co captain, he wasn't ruthless like there coach but he had talent. He didn't know why he wasn't made captain after Jason died but instead he was kept as co-captain.
He remembered when he first arrived last year, it seemed like forever ago in Archies mind now but Chuck Clayton was angry and swore he would get revenge on Lawson for getting the co-captain and not him but Jason always shrugged him off stating Lawson was the next best player after himself of course, saying "he got here for a reason Chuck".
The two captains had mutual respect for one another."He must really want you on varsity" he stated seeing coach looking at his clipboard and back towards the pair.
"yeah I guess" he whispered thinking back to his dad's construction business and how he lied to him and now how he lied to there coach.
"unless music is more important" The Raven haired boy stated, Archie swung his head around to see Lawson, standing there his eyes on the field watching as the boys kicked around the ball and doing the drills him and coach organised.
"What's that suppose to mean?" He rushed out, he saw a dark grin take over his features as he continued watching the field. He wasn't sure if he was grinning at him or the players puffing and sweating from exhaustion but either way that devilish grin made his skin crawl.
Did he know something about Geraldine Grundy?"Nothing Andrews" he stated walking back towards the boys before Archie could call out he swung around.
"better keep doing drills, or I'll have that spot taken from you quite easily" Archie nodded quickly and placed the jersey next to his bottle before rushing past Lawson to Reggie and Moose who were still doing sprints.
