An angel named Gabriel came down to earth with huge news. He went to a man named Zacharias and told he that he and he's wife, Elizabeth, were going to have a child. Zacharias replied " but me and my wife are old.... we can't possibly have a child" the angel told him this in reply. " You can't speak till the child is born, and when he is you shall name him John."
The angel then went to Mary, Elizabeth's sister, she was muvh younger than her sister. Gabriel told Mary she will be having the Lord, our savior. She was troubled at the words but went and told her husband to be the news. This made him thing if he should still marry Mary. That night God spoke to Joseph, Mary's husband to be, and told him " Go ahead and marry the girl; for she will be having the savior of the world, and when he is born you shall name him Jesus. " A new law went out that you had to go to your birth town/ state for taxes. Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem, their home town, but to their disappointment there was no room for them anywhere. One man told the there was a stable in the back where they could stay. And in that beautiful night the savior of the world was born.
