Hunt of the Night is a unique mix of comedy, mystery, and thriller that thrusts a group of high school stereotype embodiments into a scavenger hunt riddled (pun intended) with hidden intentions. When asked why they wanted to write this book, RedHeadedGurlah said, "Our inspiration is life in a nutshell; the jokes and sarcasm that keeps our lives moving. We decided to work together because we have similar ideas and have relatively the same schedules, so it all worked out well for us!"

While it's a bit heavy in exposition and has a few instances of redundancy, this story offers a plethora of quirky characters. My personal favorites are Rosy, the booksmart brainiac from Wyatt's team, and Katie, the fashionable airhead from Jamey's team. Another one of this mystery's great qualities is its refreshing take on its genre. More often than not, thrillers are bogged down in angst, making Hunt of the Night an exciting yet lighthearted read.
