You were my first heartbreak
But the only mistake
Was not telling you
That I loved you
I confessed my feelings
But I got pushed away
And now I stay away
I should have told you
That I loved you
Rather than just, I like you
So now were friends
But I still have dreams
About you and me
What we could be
I try to stay away
Because the feelings just started
Fading away
But every time I look at you
With those blue-green eyes
And that gorgeous smile
I can't help but going back again
To that moment when I actually thought I had a chance
I miss the way you look me
When I could hardly breathe
Because it felt like you were closing in on me
I miss the arrogant remarks
I miss the teasing
And I know that we can never be the same
Because of that one fateful day
When I couldn't stay away
Maybe I'll try a different day
