He swerved out of the way of the curse, nearly tripping over his feet as he dodged the twisted sparks and flares of spells.
"Please, just listen to me Bella!" He shouted out desperately as he blocked a spell with a flick of his wrist.
"Don't you dare call me that! How could you ask me that!?" She screeched, tears falling from her eyes as she exhausted herself from the magic use.
"Let me explain!" He tried again as he took a spell to the stomach, sending him flying back with a painful smack to the floor, winding him. Before he could get back up, he found a beautifully sculptured wand pointed between his eyes and an even more beautiful woman straddling him with wet eyes.
"How could you ask me to leave my Lord!? We agreed not to approach the subject!" Her hair was frizzy and wild, her deep grey eyes piercing his own light brown. Beautiful. That was all he describe her as.
"Well?!" He shook out of his trance and answered her question.
"You know the battle will start any day now... You must choose a side Bella. For my sake, I want to know if I'll be fighting with you or against you on the battlefield." He licked his dry lips.
"You know I can't leave him." Bellatrix choked out, looking up, as if hoping the sun would dry away her tears before they left her eyes.
"Why not?" He said stubbornly.
"He's all I've ever known! I'm nothing without him... All my goals, have been-" She sighed sadly, swallowing the lump in her throat down before croaking out, "All my goals have been made for him. I was raised to stand besides him, no matter what. As follower, lover, solider or tool. I was born to be his thing." She spat. "Don't you understand? I know nothing else!" Her wand laid limply in her grasp.
"It doesn't have to be that way." He said softly, wrapping his strong arms around her, ignoring his sore body.
"They would never accept me. They'd throw me back into a cell the moment the battles over." She whispered, letting a few tears leaking from her red-rimmed eyes.
"I won't let that happen." He promised, running his hand through her long black hair.
"I'll never belong there. You know that."
"Who said that they matter." He huffed, holding her chin so he could look into her eyes. "You only need to look at me." He pressed his lips against hers softly. She didn't fight it, desperate for the safety of the feeling.
"...I don't want to go back." She murmured as she rested her forehead against his, tears running down her pale, gaunt cheeks. "I can't take it anymore. He's so cruel and heartless. My body can't take anymore of it." She sobbed quietly, clutching his shirt as her body shook. He knew what she meant. She was only in her forties, still rather young for a witch, yet she looked almost like a thirty year old muggle woman.
The torture didn't help her health, mental and physical.
"Join me Bella. This time you can lead instead of follow." He smiled when her eyes widened and she hugged him tighter, her wand forgotten besides them.
"Yes please. Please take care of me." She whispered happily.
"Of course I will Trixie." She beamed at the nickname.
"Where do we go from here George?" Bellatrix asked.
"As long as we're together, I don't care where." George kissed her lips softly.
As long as she was with him, he be damned to hell without a care.
