"Annie could you be a doll and help set the table" aunt Sally called. "Sure thing just give me a minute" I called back. I just have to finish my 12 page essay with just two little words, the end. Finished! "OK I'm coming aunt Sally". I came down the stairs to be greeted by the sweet smell of my aunt's special pumpkin pie! "Oh there you are, here's the forks and knives and napkins" said my aunt giving me the dinnerware. As I was setting up the table I thought it would be a perfect time to ask for a pet. "So aunt Sally" I said setting up the table. "What do you think about pets?" I asked her. She paused for a second and then said "their nice I guess but their so much to take care of". "Do you think I could have a pet" I asked. "No and no means no" she said looking at me up and down. "Oh please, please and please oh please on a cherry on top" I begged her. "No" "Please!" I yelled. "OK but you have to earn it" she said with regret. "Fine I'll do anything!" I replied jumping up and down. "OK if you get a hundred percent on your essay then you can have a pet" she said smiling. "That's it?" "That's it". An A well that's so easy! "Can you wake up your lazy uncle up off that darn couch?" Asked my aunt shaking her head looking at my uncle. "Sure thing" I replied. I went into the living room where I found my snoring uncle wearing his trousers and dirty shirt and baseball cap. I tapped him saying "uncle wake up" "five more minutes" he replied turning the other way. "Dinners ready" I said sighing. He jolted right up and said "Well OK show me the food". I walked him into the kitchen where my aunt had covered the table with mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuits, chicken and her homemade pumpkin pie. My uncle's tongue went right out of his mouth drooling over all the delicious food. "Never thought you would get up" said my aunt looking at my uncle with a disappointed face. "Give me a rest, I wake up at the crack of dawn then go to work at the farm breaking my back for hours". "Alright I'm sorry that I brought up" "Annie let the hard working king sit down" said my aunt sarcastically. "Guys don't fight you both work equally". "Let's just sit down and enjoy this meal" said my aunt. "Now that we both can agree on" said my uncle licking his lips. We all sat down and began to eat. "So I told Annie that she could get a pet if she gets an A on her essay" said my aunt aloud looking at my uncle, my uncle looked up at her. "A pet, well Annie a pet you can have if you get an A" said my uncle looking at me now. "Thank you". I said. "Well I'm gonna head to bed now" I said taking my dirty plate to the sink. "Alright goodnight" said my uncle. "Goodnight have sweet dreams" said my aunt. I made it to my room wondering if I should wear my panda Pajamas or my candy pajamas when in the middle of my room was two red tennis shoes with the laces untied. Where did these come from? Maybe their an early birthday present? I mean they look brand new. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try them on. As I put the shoes on I felt a rush of energy. New energy that felt strange but at the same time familiar. "Wow I feel like I could run a thousand laps!" Then bright light surrounded me blurring out the room and making me close my eyes. When the light stopped and I opened my eyes the room looked exactly the same except for me! I was wearing a blue and white checkered dress, my hair was in two pony tails, my hair was a light brown, and my shoes were now ruby slippers! I looked exactly like Dorothy!
