DAY 3: THE ROMANTIC MEETS THE NERD

Things were going great! Me and Sephora really hit off, people always kind of skirt around me because according to my cousin, ‘awkward’. But all that doesn’t bother me anymore ‘cause I got myself an amazingly cool best friend.

BRINGGGGGGG

I snapped back into reality, noticing that everyone had packed up and started to leave. I started to grin, today was the first day of “Library Detention”, just thinking about how it happened just makes me want to burst into a fit of giggles. I hurriedly grabbed my stuff and skipped to the library, speaking of which…I FINALLY GOT TWILIGHT!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO READ THAT MAGNIFICENT PIECE OF LITERATURE! I slipped into the library setting down my lunch onto one of the nearby tables. Suddenly, right there, I saw it. A beautiful solid black cover with a pair of pale hands cupping an apple that was BEING HELD BY SOMEONE ELSE! I think I saw red…and then attacked, yanking the book from those vile hands holding my baby.

“Whaaa…?” a voice spluttered.

Then I finally looked at the person that I so viciously attacked. She was around my height with simple long dark hair that just fell past her shoulders. A pair of red rectangular shaped glasses framed a pair of dark brown eyes that right now was staring at me like I was a lunatic.

“Um, can I get my book back?” she asked nervously while nudging her glasses back into place, looking at me wearily.

“Your book?” I questioned unsurely.

“Uh, yeah. If you flip to the cover it should be printed in neat handwriting that it belongs to me.” She replied a little bit crossly.

I opened the book and there it was, it read: Belongs to Adelaide S. Please return if found! J

Red coloured my cheeks, “Sorry about that, I thought it was my book that arrived.” I said guiltily, nervously twirling a strand of hair around my finger.

Adelaide giggled, “It’s okay. I don’t blame you, I mean, Twilight is the best!”

“So, no hard feelings?” I said, offering out my hand to shake.

“None!” She laughed ignoring the hand and giving me a hug. I hugged back a little bit surprised.

“You are such a dork.” I heard someone say, so I turned around looked at the guy who said that.  My Goodness, he’s a looker that one. With dirty blond hair and a pair of flashing turquoise coloured eyes and gorgeous bone structure, my dormant butterflies decided to wake up and try to escape my stomach. He smirked at me and mimicked me attacking Adelaide with his friends, MY GOSH I have never been so embarrassed; my face felt like it was on fire. I ducked behind Adelaide and cowered while her and his gang snickered.

The sound of footsteps leaving was followed by a “Later Dork!” courtesy of that insufferable boy.

“Is he gone?” I whimpered from behind Adelaide.

“Yeah,” she replied laughter present in her voice, “So who was that?!?”

“Uh, I don’t know?” I replied puzzled.

She grinned and nudged her glasses again, “Can I get my book back?”

I hadn’t realized that I was still clutching the book with my hands and so I sheepishly gave it back.

“We’re cool right?” She asked hopefully.

“Yeah,” I grinned and slapped her a high five.
